Just had an alert in my cart. 0% claimed right now. Not sure yet if I should pull the trigger as I've got so much backlogs.

Day One Edition where you get some bonus music tracks - however the code won’t work with Australian Nintendo eShop accounts so you’ll need to create a US account to redeem it.
On the other hand, everything in the cartridge works fine - the games will download but it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a US account.
As others have mentioned, the games should been included in the cartridge itself instead of a download.
I haven't tried with this game specifically, but usually I can just change my account region on the Nintendo site to US or UK, redeem the code, then change back to Australia rather than having a separate account.
Only if you have zero store credit
Snake? Snake???!!! SNAAAKEEEEEEEEE
Just for those on the fence:
Even though you have to download Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 and DLC - there is no one time use code. The downloads are tied to the cartridge. So you can resell it if you want.
I bought the US version of Amazon US last October ($32.80), no need to change accounts to U.S. region. It will just automatically download when you insert the cartridge the first time
Yeah but 15 years later when the e shop is down :( that’s what I hate
Good thing you're buying it in 2025, and not in 2040, when the odds of you still playing a Switch 1 is even lower than my sperm count (ideally, bc if not, I need to go back to the vascectomist and sue)

Is it really a backlog if it's getting smaller?
I’d be careful with US games, if they the games have download codes for some of them it may not work in AUS accounts. I had issues with my megaman games from the US
