Paid for Medibank Private Health Insurance I Did Not Sign up for

For 4 months after a major operation, I had automatic deductions from my bank account to Medibank Private till I had recovered enough to take control of my life & look at my finances etc, found the deductions which I had no recollection of signing up for, neither would I sign up for private health cover.

After contacting Medibank Private I was not given any indication how this happened, the only help I was given was to cancel the account.

I had no one acting on my behalf.

Has anyone else encountered this?

OP may have been in a 5-year coma post-operation. Get well soon!

Sounds like OP needs to see their GP to discuss not remembering the same issue in 2020 to ensure that they do not have dementia.

Shhh, someone will whinge about stalking 😛

    • I remember a reddit post ages ago where the redditor told how there were post it notes around his apartment that they didn't know how/why they were there. They assumed someone, they point the fingure at their landlord, was breaking into the place and putting them there. They were obviously freaking out about it. Among the comments was someone who mentioned to check the CO levels in the house.

Yep redditor was getting carbon monoxide poisoning in the house (from a dodgy heater or something) and was leaving himself these notes and not remembering writing them.

This has some sort of similaries.

OP doesn't seem too worried about this happening twice to him in 5 years given his lack of posts here.
