What will stop me getting my cashback

  • You must empty your Amazon cart prior to clicking from TopCashback. Failure to do so will result in an untracked purchase, and claims will not be approved.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards, vouchers, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals, bulk orders, commercial or reseller purchases.

What else is essential

  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • Any accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the cashback system will be banned and cashback forfeited.

Good to know

  • Amazon reports transactions based on item instead of combined cart value. If you purchase multiple items in one order, they will report as multiple transactions in your TopCashback account.
  • Purchases from Amazon US/UK are ok, provided you navigate & make the transaction via Amazon AU.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

TA's Handy Tips:

  • Amazon tracking typically takes 1-7 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).
  • For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost. TopCashbackAU must be your last click (not 3-Camels etc).

  • Are watch straps like this included on the 10% Watches category? It is under the Watches subcategory and specifically goes as: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories › Men › Watches › Watchbands

    • Sorry not sure. It could be under Fashion (Clothing, Shoes & Accessories) as that comes up first. Amazon may pay 1% cashback.

      There are complaints of Amazon paying the lower cashback rate when it's ambiguous.

  • My Boost Mobile 365 day sim still hasn’t tracked in TopCashback even though I raised it with them.

    • Sorry to hear. TopCashback does not add the tracking manually unlike ShopBack or Cashrewards.

      It may take several months for Telstra/Boost to check the claim and pay. There is also little or no communication during the waiting time. TopCashback will contact you if they need more info.

      I've had a few claims with all the cashback sites. It's normal to wait a while and they have all been paid.

    Hello, I just bought a Kindle using this.

    Second and subsequent Subscribe & Save orders are ineligible for cashback (only first Subscribe & Save orders in eligible categories are eligible).

    From my understanding, I was not a prime member, and I subscribed to prime and bought the Kindle. That meets the criteria I quoted above right? That was the only thing in my cart (after clearing) it and I have not bought anything else.

    Can I cancel my prime? I bought 1 month. Also, if I decide to return the Kindle, how do I return the cashback?

      To clarify, Subscribe & Save is for eligible everyday essentials and you don't have to be a Prime member. There is no Subscribe & Save for Kindle. This link explains what Subscribe & Save is.

      You would have subscribed to Prime membership (unrelated to Subscribe & Save) and would be eligible for cashback. The Kindle purchase would show up in your TopCashback account tomorrow under "Earnings".

      Can I cancel my prime?

      Yes. It won't affect cashback.

      Also, if I decide to return the Kindle, how do I return the cashback?

      You would have to return the Kindle within 30 days. Cashback is paid in a few months. If you return, cashback would most likely be rejected. You can't "return" cashback. (Estimated payable time for cashback is 10 weeks as shown in the transaction history.)

      If you purchased an Amazon Device directly from Amazon.com.au and you have changed your mind about it, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of the day you received it as long as it's in new condition and the return is in accordance with our return policy.

      • Thank you, this is my first time using cashback (and this is maybe the second or third time using Amazon). I thought the 1-7 day window was the time it took for the cashback to appear (hence less than 30 days). Thank you for clarifying it was 10 weeks, It wasn’t mentioned in the post but I’m still okay with that.

        • @Mulberry3566 The post was about the upsized offer and described the offer and T&Cs in detail. Cashback post offers don't usually mention when cashback is paid.

          Before you sign up to TopCashback, it is stated that cashback is paid at a later date and not within 1-7 days. If cashback is paid within 1-7 days, some buyers may return the items for a refund and still receive cashback. You had asked about returning the Kindle. This could be the reason cashback is paid later.

          Cashback will usually appear within 1 day for Amazon in your account.

          This will show "Pending" and it means your order has tracked. Amazon hasn't checked that your purchase has met the T&Cs yet.

          You can see the estimated payable (in 10 weeks) when you click "+" on the transaction. The timeframe varies with different retailers and some take longer to pay.

          Your order will turn "Confirmed" after several weeks. This is when Amazon has agreed to pay the cashback.

          Later it will turn "Payable" when cashback is paid and you can withdraw.

To be clear, I understand it well now and even if I fail to get cashback due my error (if any error), I will still enjoy my purchase.
