      the dodgy version of IGA

      • But great for the chinese grocery, and cheaper than most stores(asia food and grocery).

      • +1

My local IGA seems dodgy enough, so…

    • Chinese grocery. They have a few shops in Victoria

  • +15

dodgy mi goreng as well. it is not indomie but ibumie

    • You do know they are both owned by the same company right?

      • actually no. they're both *distributed * by the same company.. but not made by the same manufacturer. and even if they did, same company doesn't mean same quality. Corollas and lexus are both made by toyota, they're not really the same aren't they?

  • +2

what would you say the best flavour is, if not original?

    • +6

The one with the most MSG!

      • Sorry my fat thumb hit neg when I wanted to hit pos…. Bloodily tiny icons on a small screen

  • Never heard of ibumie

  • Original is the best!

  • +19

So to sum up: dodgy indomie knockoff sold in dodgy supermarket in a dodgy part of town?

    • Does it matter? This is strictly Uni food. The cheaper the food the greater amount to spend on alcohol. Ahhh.. those were the days.

    • what a coincidence

    • I dont think it's dodgy indomie! COSTCO (dockland) also sells this brand, much cheaper than indomie (I bought it there once)

  • how many boxes left?

  • +3

this brand is actually not half bad. Very strong on the garlic.

    • I reckon it's too strong
I bought 2 boxes by accident. Thinking it was the original.

    • It's half good

  • +1

This brand tastes gross in my opinion.

  • Bought them from costco before, the taste is so unforgettable that everytime I think of it…..I threw up….

    • I got them there as well. They have 2 different brands there. This one is slightly cheaper.
Just gotta find the other one somewhere there.

    Produce farmed… loaded onto truck…. processed…. loaded onto truck…. sent to noodel factory…. processed into noodles…. packaged…. loaded onto truck… then onto a ship…. sent to Australia… taxed…. loaded onto truck…. sent to KFL…. put on shelf….

    10c per pack…..

    WTF?

There is a note : BEST BEFORE date is 03 FEB 2013. OLD stocks need to be clear up or else in the garbage bin and new stocks last for 12 months.

    • economies of scale is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

  • fake mie goreng.exactly same font like indomie brand.

  • +1
    • if you are looking into the real competitor of indomie you may try Mie Sedaap from Wingsfood. For me mie Sedaap is better.
Mie sedap means noodle which smells good
      great video here

      • 2nd that

      • the man knows his ramen.. a word of note, there's also a mie sedaap knockoff, it's called 'mie sedaaap' with 3 As.. lol

  • Ibumie. Ibu = Mrs, so Ibumie = Mrs Mie or Mrs Noodle :)

    • +2

Ibu = mother… so the translation would be Mothernoodles. Note also there isnt a space in between.

  • That's Malaysian instant noodle, not even half as good as the original Indonesian Indomie, but for 10c each that's a bargain.

    • yeah… wait till they buy them in 30's and let them taste it…

  • What the! Expired?

  • +2

thanks…next 10 days of breakfast, lunch and dinner sorted!

  • +1

one of the worst taste instant noodle, stay away!

negging due to different brand… not Indomie…

    • -2

Did he say it was Indomie? No? Didn't think so.

      • well, he should have said Ibumie in the title just like how other deals are posted.

What if I clicked the link and expected a real Mie Goreng (the real actually-fried noodle) instead of the instant noodle?

What do people think when they hear the word Mie Goreng? The real fried noodle? The instant noodle by Indomie? or any instant noodle that doesn't come with soup?

        • -2

He actually says the name of the brand in the title of the bargain, genius. Not his or our fault that you are vision impaired.
But, your stupid neg got revoked, so justice has been served. Carry on your ignorant ways.

        • I reported to mod to put the brand in the title after my vote got revoked. You dont know how things work around here dont you? There is this thing called 'Revision' on each post. Click on it then read.

At least I'm making constructive feedback than making personal attacks on someone.

        • lol, you have to get up earlier if you want to whiteknight like this, buddy. OP did write Indomie when he posted this almost two days ago. Then it was revised. Sit down and stop puffing. You're just embarrassing yourself.

That's like negging a Samsung tv deal because it's not Panasonic.

      • Then what do most people think Mie Goreng is?

      • No it isn't. They both use the same font and lettering so it is very easy to get them mixed up.

        • Sorry, Maybe a better comparison should have been Palsonic, and Panasonic, similar names, styles of logo look the same too.
