Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Pre-Order Deals!
Looks like some great deals are popping up for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7! Here's what I've found so far:

Saving 1: Up to $800 Off RRP
Pre-order the Z Fold7 on a repayment plan by July 31st and get up to $800 off the recommended retail price. Discount of $800.28 when you stay connected for 36 months. You'll need a Telstra SIM plan, or you'll need to sign up for one and pay for at least a month.

Saving 2: Up to $600 Trade-In Credit
Pre-order the Z Fold7 on a repayment plan and trade in an eligible device by July 31st to receive up to $600 in trade-in credit. My guess, similar to past Officeworks deals, is that "eligible device" could include something like an iPhone 8 or newer. This means you might be able to buy a cheap, eligible device from somewhere like Facebook Marketplace just for the trade-in bonus! The trade-in program is powered by Assurant, and both an eligible device and a Telstra service are required.

So far, these look like the best deals around! Let me know if anyone spots anything better. I'm planning to pick one up tomorrow or the day after.

  • looks like $800 off doesn't apply to outright?

  • JB has sent $200 coupon and also Telstra (jb hifi mobile plan) is offering $1800 Voucher ($99 Jb Mobile Plan for 24 Months) … but I am unable to calculate how much it will cost if we cancel straight away … Pre-Order price for 512GB is $2899 ($3099 after pre-order finishes)

Total coat per JB Telstra deal for Fold 7 512GB will be $1764:

      RRP 2,899
      Less Voucher 1,800
      Less Coupon 200
      Plus 1st month fee 99
      Plus cancellation fee $766

      • +2

Thanks, no pint in buying then - Just saw a video and it spen can't be used with it and it seems bit flimsy to me.

How you calculate $766 cancellation fees?

        • +2

$800 cancellation fee. You pay 1st month upfront so pro rata for 23 months: $800/24*23=766

      • 30 more off if you have perk?

        • Two coupon won’t stack together as I understand.

  • +6

it is up to 600 trade-in not a trade-in bonus edit title please

    • The trade in bonus is a flat $600 + the trade in value for any eligible device

    • So what's the final price of 512GB with Telstra? I think you also need to get their phone plan (if you ain't telstra customer)

      • $2298.72, same cost across 12, 24 and 36 month contracts.

Yes I think you will need to get their phone/data plan.

I haven't confirmed this but I don't think you can pay it all off in one go. So I think the price only applies if you stick with that phone plan for the whole contract duration.

  • No free washing microwaves at washing machines? Common Samsung!!

  • Plus $600 Trade in Credit

I can sell my phone elsewhere for more.

Thats the bonus bro… not the value

        • -2

          What?? Omg sorry…
Was always bonus well samsung is bad

          • +1

@McMaferMur: This is Telstra not Samsung. You can get $400 trade in bonus on Samsung.

            • @jimojr: Yeah in the past buying outright was always best, at samsung direct, stacking vouchers. Not anymore i guess

      • +1

It says "upto $600 trade in credit". This isn't a bonus it's the value.

        • Its a $600 trade in bonus (so $600 + your trade in value)

          • @celery juice: It doesn't seem to be worded that way. But if that is true, it's good value.
How do you "apply" this trade in bonus? It didn't seem to show when I added a trade phone estimate, nor any instruction upon how to obtain said credit?

            • @AmperSand: The trade in bonus gets sent to your payment method/invoice a couple days after you get the value of the device you returned. It won't show on the trade in assessment but you'll get it a little bit after.

              • +1

@celery juice: If it doesnt show on the trade assessment or assumably anywhere in the checkout process, is it guaranteed to be $600?
It states "upto $600" however with no terms or conditions on how to obtain the maximum value?

                • @AmperSand: The wording is a little bit confusing on the promo drop down but from internal comms its confirmed to be a flat $600 bonus for any eligible device. As long as the trade in value isnt $0, you will get it.

                  • +1

@celery juice: Are you a rep for the store? Where can we get a confirmation that this is indeed the case if it's not in the wording?
                    Thanks.

                    • @bargainerpro: I'm a Telstra employee, anyone customer facing should be able to give you confirmation

I love how Samsung has to always offer discounts to sell their phones. Even before their release them

    • +1

or follow the herd and buy an iphone. i'll take samsung, thanks.

Idiotic marketing for coupon clippers. Resale "value" says it all. After sales, non-existent.

    3099 phone wow

  • +1

You need to put the final price in the heading.

  • still very bad value

  • Do I have to stay on the mobile plan (Basic $70/month) for all the time, or do I just cancel it after a month and no penalty would apply?

    • That's also what I'm trying to figure out. I think the most notable piece of info on their site is this. It does appear that if you cancel the mobile plan you have to cancel the repayment plan as well, but I'm not sure whether penalties apply. I find the "device discounts still apply" part somewhat confusing, but I'm assuming it means the discounts need to be paid back

      Device Payment Contract (DPC)
You must have an eligible Telstra Mobile Plan in order to have a DPC. If you cancel your DPC early, cancel your mobile plan during the device payment term or move to an ineligible mobile plan during the payment term, you’ll need to pay out your device, in full. Device discounts still apply to cancelled orders bought on repayment.

    • This is the only real killer of the deal. Their stupidly overpriced mobile plans. We don't need to pay extra to piggy back off starlink for sms's. I'm sure they could include that as an add-on rather than making everybody foot the bill for their starlink access.
Comparable small plans are $55 at nearly all other providers.
They have to be joking coming in at $70/month for their LOWEST plan.

  • Great phone.. but i priced it up with storage 512gb, samsung care.. 3800. Wow.

    • I'm selling a 50% discount voucher in the classifieds if your interested in pre-ordering.

      • Interested.!

I got the fold 7 (512gb) black color for $1,965 (using the optus / harvey norman deal), but having a bit of a buyer remorse now. Am happy to let it go for $1,900 but will have to be in Sydney to meet-up. Item is obviously still brand new in box (sealed).

    • $1900 for a second hand phone is wild. Would be pretty game risking that.

      • especially when you don't know if the phone is genuine or role-player
