Program update
We’re making an update to how points expiry works. Effective the 10th of August 2025, the points expiry period will change from 365 days to 90 days.To keep your points active, you simply need to make a Repco Rewards purchase every 90 days. If, by 10th August 2025, you have not made a purchase in the previous 90 days, your points will expire on the 11th of August 2025.
All other program benefits — including point earn rates, redemption value, reward options, bonus point opportunities, and exclusive member offers — will remain unchanged.
You can view the updated Terms & Conditions and check out our FAQs for full details.

This was from an email.
I was going to title this post as “Repco joins the enshitification” but thought it was a bit too clickbait, despite the potential accuracy.
Yeah what I meant was , as an expiry approaches will they send an auto alert to members, or is it case of discovering in store or by manually checking by logging in.
I mean with AI now eating up admin jobs, alerting customers should be easy and cheap for these orgs.
It is indeed inshitification. It's almost like all these companies are having a competition to see who can piss of the most customers the quickest. I've gone back to a local depot to buy 20L at a time, engine oil now. It works out better than pfaffing around waiting for specials.Buy filters in bulk. I'll just use SCA & Repco for emergency parts I think, and the maintenance stuff I'll source it elsewhere.Tired of riding the "when on special" tsunamis. Automotive Superstore has a decent range worth exploring. The warehouse times can be a PIA on some more obscure stuff, but often enough the price level justifies the slight delay.EDIT

5. CANCELLATION AND EXPIRY
Will my Repco Rewards points expire?
Your Repco Rewards points will expire 90 Days from the last date you purchased a product from Repco. If your points expire, your Repco Rewards membership will remain active.Rewards and other promotions of the Repco Rewards program may include specific points expiry dates, after which they will no longer be available for redemption. You should read the terms and conditions associated with rewards and promotional offers in addition to these terms and conditions.
Repco may expire points without notice at any time and in its sole discretion.
They are already last resort for me. Had an ignition coil fail earlier this week..
Cheapest single coil from either of them was over $100 after discounts, aftermarket.
Got a set of 4 express posted in 2 days on eBay for $43, and only that much because I spent an extra $7 for the express post (it's a slow ride to WA)
Yes I reckon SCA & Repco are relying on 'non shrewd' customers. They make so much $$$ between sales, they are screwing the average customer on every other day. I mean even for tools it's paying to shop at dedicated tool suppliers now.
I bought an AFM (Genuine bosh sensor part of it) for a 1/4 of the price off ebay, for what would have been a special order at either, and not even Bosch.Just a knock off part.
another reason not to use repco.
Is this the result of customer feedback ?
No, it's the result of being a "loyal customer"
Why do these companies always have to be Anti-Consumer
Not sure if rhetorical question or not but Repco is owned by Genuine Parts Company which has over 40,000 employees.
Naturally they are like every other large company (especially in the US) and driven by pure profit and greed.
They are forever chasing short term profit in favour of long term problems, especially when the board / shareholders demand perpetual growth YoY.
That's how you get someone coming up with an idea to reduce their "liability" of repco points but at the same time increasing profit because people will go in-store to use them more frequently. Of course as you point out this is anti-consumer and long term will have an impact.
but by that point the CEO will have moved on and it'll be someone elses problem. The new guy or gal will say "hey let's increase brand loyalty by extending the expiring window of points" and that will probably increase spending too.
Rinse and repeat.
Its so sad as to what the world has come to. Driven only by profit and ultimate greed ruining everything in the process. I was just imagining as to how companies earlier used to make products that were built to last driven by engineering but now make products that are not built to last driven by greed.
90 days?
Why even bother having a loyalty program to begin withEveryone of those expired rewards funds is cash for doing nothing for them. You already overpaid the first time, they put a % to one side in non $$ credit, then took it back. It's printing money.
I think Repco realizes it recently so that this update may be the first step to close the program.
Are these AHs going to alert their 'loyal' customers by email, or do you not find out unless you log in? I must say SCS and Repco seem intent on watching their customer base migrate to online shopping to other suppliers.I can see myself emptying the points and cancelling the Repco Rewards acct.
