Check all the ports, one of my HDMI ports was smashed/wrecked but I only noticed after a few weeks and sony wouldn't help

      How about eBay support?

I had to escalate once, quoted the product description "like-new condition". Took a few days, but zero issue with refund/return.

The product page also says "All items available to purchase on the Official Sony eBay Store are covered by a full 12 month Sony manufacturer warranty from Sony."

Surely Sony don't really have an option.

      • It was a couple of years ago, fair point about eBay dispute I must have only noticed once the dispute period was over. They basically said tough luck since I couldn't prove it arrived like that so wouldn't help

I bought a used Sony OLED TV from their official eBay store. The screen worked fine and all functions were okay, but the bottom frame was noticeably bent—probably from being dropped off a wall mount. I contacted customer service and they offered a 15% refund, which I accepted. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but be aware that buying refurbished items like this comes with some risk of cosmetic damage.

These should be new, perhaps were faulty but fixed, with new warranty. So if there's anything that's not as perfect specifications it must be fixed or replaced

    • I also had bad experience with 'refurbished' sony product. I bought a Sony XM4 headphone. After couple of months it stopped changing. I sent it for warranty claim. They said there was sign of moisture damage. I never used the headphone in rain or during exercise. It must have had some corrosion when they sent it to me and deteriorated over time. They used this as an excuse to decline my warranty claim. Very disappointed with Sony. Bose is so much better when it comes to warranty claim. They just simply send a replacement.

Waiting for the 75" $988 deal

  • oled from sony is good? better than LG c4?

    • -2

Sony TVs support Dolby Vision, while Samsung TVs don’t—they use HDR10+ instead. Both brands support basic HDR10 and HLG.

    Thanks OP, just bought one!
Btw RETECH didn't work for me, but when I went to My eBay Summary Page I had a TECHY code sitting there and that also took $100 off so got it for $770!

  • Shows as $770 for me, but considering mini led tvs like like the c6k have been under $999 recently is this a good price? Maybe someone with more TV knowledge could confirm..

    • Sony XR tend to be pretty good all round quality. Responsive, fast refresh rates and good speakers. However mini led would probably look better.

  • Only comes down to $856.32 for me?
RETECT and TECHY didn’t work for me.

as a part resort use JUL2025 to save $50

  • Daymn state of origin was yesterday

  • I have bought the 75" refurb from SONY, the condition was good as new
The box had bit of tapes and stuff but nothing visable scratch or anything on the TV itself

  • This or Hisense U6NAU for $978?

  • Do these TVs have built in tv recording (via micro SD)?

    • Specs say USB HDD recording -no.

      So I guess that's a no.

Also noted no H265 support and 535kwh per year (4 star) energy rating. Great for 2023…

      • +1

They definitely have H265 (listed under HEVC, same thing different name).

Sony have supported HEVC since 2015.

  • GOT one, thanks!
