I have one, it is a great kit. Although it is a bit hard to take bits out of rubber forms.

    • +3

I agree. They are very ordinary

    • Agree. Great quality though, i paid $60 for the 83 piece 3 months ago so all of these kits are at great prices

    • bit hard to take bits out of rubber forms.

I've cut myself trying to pull one out before.

Bought December 2021 for $25. Still the first set i grab for small jobs. Can recommend.

  • +1

Great set, I bought it in June 2020 paid $29.90 used several times still going good

  • +1

Thanks. I keep a kit in the car. Super handy sets.

  • +4

Good all rounder set, prob one of ozbargains favourites at this price. I will say the drill bits are pretty prone to snapping.

    • Yeah, the smaller ones are for sure

  • +2

$19.90 in 2020. Still use it all the time, not amazing quality, not bad quality either but super handy.

    • How is the case quality? Has it held up so far? And would you recommend it overall for household duties?

      • +3

Yeah, case is good, no issues.

  • The handle broke for me what to do? How to change it?

  • Is it good for first year electrical apprenticeship?
I just give to my mate as gift
    Or recommend more professional stuff?

    • +7

I wouldnt recommend for a trade, pieces are cheap. Its ok for small jobs.

      • Thank you! Can you recommend Any brands for a trade?

        • +1

          Bosch

But the professional line. Blue not green

          Pricey but durable.

But these green ones are good for diy and unlike cheap brands are made at the right tolerances so actually fit as required. This is not true of the very cheapest stuff you can get.

    • I would not recommend this for professional work due to replacement costs - I have used this set for ~2 years for home renovation and have snapped a 5.5 though it comes with a spare.

This is more of a DIY line versus the pro lines.

      • +1

Even the pro bits lose their sharpness / snap

    • I concur. Don't get these. I've broken a few of them. Great value for home based stuff though.

They have the HHS metal drill bits on sale as well for $17 https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-Professional-19-Piece-PointT… not sure if there better quality

    • +1

I bought that on the first day of Prime Day for a discount of "$31.56"
      Now its $17…

I now bought OP's item for $29 and will be returning the 19 piece drill bit when I receive it

    • +3

These are the blue ‘professional’ ones rather than the green ‘diy’ in the OP - looks like a great deal for the price

    • Is that set can be used on wood and masonry, or it's only for metal? I need a drill set for all the surfaces and I would prefer a good quality set to a lower quality set with extra screwdriver bits that I've already had..

  • Have one of these and like most have broken a couple of bits. Seems easier to buy a whole new set than a couple of new bits but then there’s a whole another set to store.

  • +2

I bought one a couple of years ago, and soon realised it wasn't quality I expected from something with Bosch written on it.
I saw one in menshed workshop and asked them "what do you think of those kits?"
A few voices together came out with what could be translated to "frken crap"… it was good not to feel alone!
I reckon the "normal" price of $60 is significantly too much, but if you want some tools that won't need to do any hard work it's probably not bad for $30… but I don't need tools where screwdriver bits turn to plastic etc…

  • Folks how is the carry case quality ?Looks quite flimsy to me

    • +2

Decent until the spine breaks from opening and closing too many times (Mine has been 'fixed' with Gorilla Tape).

Also the bits are pain to get out of their slots.

      • +1

No issues with the spine of mine but can confirm that the bits can be a tight fit in their foam - I've even cut my finger trying to get a drill bit out! But overall it's a great set and I use it on most home DIY jobs.

        • Good to know thanks

  • These bits are interchangeable yeah? Will work on my ozito ?

    • +4

      Yes

    • +2

That's how I've used my set yep. Ozito hammer drill

  • Decent set but the wood drill bits are only okay for soft wood not hardwood. Broke most of mine but for the price with the other pieces and case its handy.
