    $15 delivery for regional areas?

    • +1

I got hit with the $15 too, the spicy one has free shipping but is $26 for me.

      • There are 3 different listings for that item, if shipped by Amazon it's $26, if shipped by the seller it's $20. Finally there's a $43 listing which looks like a scam store.

    • +1

its not delivered by Amazon, probably thats why…

  • my maths was way off, this is like half price. good deal

    • +2

Compared to Colesworth its 36.7% off :)

This is probably a similar price to what you can buy from your local asian grocery. Spudshed here in WA sells 10 packs for $5.99 normal price, and every now and then on special at $3.99 or $4.99.

  • +10

nah…this is 'export quality' product. They modified the flavor….less MSG….we want more MSG :p

    • +2

sprinkle ajinomoto on top? or dip….

      • This is what I do. Noodles will be a bit bland when I add more cooked veggies. So top it up with salt+ajinomoto.

        • try margarine. it will give it a kick as well

          • @penting: Ajinomoto has been recently proved its safe to eat, not margarine.

edit: meh, purchased anyway. Mmm. fomo flavoured…

    • +11

they'd last about a week in my house

    • +4

Ate a pack that expired 3 yrs ago, still edible 😀

  • -2

    Any non halal ones?

    • +4

Just add your own bacon, not kosher either so double the fun

    • Or eat it with a side of your fav alcohol beverage

    • +3

Not sure why negged. Halal butchery requirments are pretty barbaric…..

      • -1

        "pretty barbaric"

In what way? Curious as I actually don't know what's behind the scene.

        • +6

When the slaughter method was introduced it was very animal friendly - use the sharpest knife, cut the throat, bleed the animal out etc. This was much better than the alternatives available at the time (hit on head with rick/push off cliff/blunt force) This however leaves the spinal cord in tact so the animal dies slowly from blood loss.

Give me a shotgun/bolt to the dome any day…

          • +3

@Davelovesdealz: Thank you for your explanation and appreciate your note that the halal method was animal friendly. I'll expound on it for how it works in todays world, especially in AU/NZ…

Here in Australia, and NZ, all animals are stunned prior, to cutting their throats. This applies for ALL halal meat sold in Australia/NZ and exported from here.
Now you know that they're not barbaric ;) and is the same as all other pieces of meat you get here.

@khomeini: Oh really? That's great! I'm thought that went against the rules.

It was an awesome idea at the time (like not eating pork or shellfish - 2 things that will definitely give you food poisoning if not kept correctly in the middle east's climate….)

Any slaughter house isn't great IMHO - I get a whole cow at a time that is taken in a field and shot in the head - no chance for the truck journey to the building that smells of death to make them stress out and put adrenaline into the meat….

      • That's true, but almost all of the varieties (aside from the beef ribs one) don't include animal products, according to their website's FAQ. Regular slaughter is no picnic, either, and that's when it all goes to plan.

        • I feel sorry for the cows.

Though its because we on top of food chain

          • @ATTS: Any animal really. Industrialised farming and slaughter is a disgrace IMHO. (I eat meat BTW but think we need to lessen our intake).

Imagine if aliens came to earth… And they were related to chickens. Bye bye humans.

    • I think you're just going to have to accept that an overseas snack food that is manufactured in Indonesia or somewhere in SE Asia needs to have Halal certifications, since its consumed not just by Aussies but also its local populace. Terima Kasih.

  • gone, sad because it's better than costco price

  • and she's gone

    • Just got one after an error a minute ago

  • I just checked it’s still in stock

  • Still active, just ordered

  • +3

2 packs, 3 fried eggs with runny yolk, 2 tengals take out chicken burger Pattie’s air fried - oh yeahhhh

    • Hows your BMI 😬
2 packs is a brickload of carbs & calories already

      • +1

It’s really not that much if you have an active lifestyle.

  • -2

Do you really need 40 packs of instant noodles?

    • are you kidding me? Need more than 40 if we can!!

    • In Albo's Australia there's no other viable option.

  • +2

For me it says $20 but is $30 when added to cart sad face

  • Will match up well with the msg pack from amazon

  • +1

    Back to $30

  • Gone

  • Chicken flavour is better

  • Not trying to disturb political correctness sensitive junkies, but how do you make noodles halal ? Asking for a friend !

    • +3

you have to sacrifice the seasoning humanely

      • Ahhh that makes sense !

    • You pay money to have it certified. There's no animal products in any of these varieties (aside from the beef ribs one), according to the Indomie website, and email replies people have gotten from them.

  • Looks like it's back up to $30 :( What a steal.

  • And if only eggs were cheap to go with it

  • It's been a while since these tasted good.

idk what changed, is the flavouring different or waht?

the noodles end up being soggy and flavourless…

or am i just older and this stuff don't hit anymore?

    • +1

      Just old champ

      • +1

        Nice one, chief

    • you most likely had the export quality one and not the OG version.

  • -1

    Indomie seleraku.

  • I like the spicy ones the most

  • +2

i remember when these was $0.20 / package ($8/box of 40) when i was in uni lol. might have cut a few years off my lifespan i reckon.

  • Too bad these are the export version rather than the OG version with a more kick and yumyum

  • Going to guess they used generic images from the web as the chicken one is in french "Gout Poulet"
    Which makes it Nigerian.

Google the history of Indomie in Nigeria, its a wild ride

  • +1

Don't sleep on the Hot & Spicy version (which is in the post description) - I personally prefer it to the original, and it's still $20!

  • +3
  • Does anyone find the 30pk taste better than the 40 pk ?

  • Hot & Spicy (only) is available again, showing 3% claimed. Doesn't appear to require prime.

  • Are Hot & Spicy the same flavour as original if you don’t put the chilli sauce in? I’m happy with hot, but kids don’t like too hot. TIA
