Lublulemon SL60D Robotic Vacuum - Two Failures

Had two units delivered to me (one by mistake) and they have both failed after 24 hours (was going to gift the other but used it when the first one died). When the newest one leaves the charging bay, it loses all power, so battery problem. It was able to scan the house and do one full LIDAR scan.

Any one think the base could be causing this? Seems to random to be related. I will try charge it on the charger that comes with it but dont think that is it when it loses charge as soon as leaves base.

Is this very rare to get two DOAs or is this normal with Chinese cheapies.

Company doesn't respond so up the creek.

Any help or same experience would be great (have resetted)

Ordered one so I can send one of these div units back

  • i’ve been saying for months how bad these units are but all that happens is I get down voted.

    • I had a good run with the black model - 18 months

These 2 failures in 48 hours

Looks like you bought a lublue-Lemon

Looks like the CCP sent you one just to get a scan of your house.

My thoughts too. This takes "targeted" deals to a whole new level ;)

They probably sent a kill switch message to the devices after assessing the home as being unworthy of accommodating their invasion force. Op should consider himself lucky times 888.

Battery life is pretty bad on these.

Damn, how unlucky. Mine's been going fantastically for 6 months. Fingers crossed it lasts a lot longer.

    • Yeah previous one 18 months

      • why did you get another one, did the first fail after 18 months?

        • Kept having issues docking and they eventually replaced it after about 6 months of going back and forth.

Logically I'm guessing they have a batch of faulty ones.

    • Mine too.

    Mexico: "no no, I clean"

Misread LuluLemon, thought since when they started branching off into the vacuum business

I'll never remember the stupid name but model numbers different but I knew as I was typing it, it was a bit silly.

did you try the other base?

    • Not yet. Will update

    • Tried base that comes with it. Turns out must be faulty dust collector as it was not charging the unit even though the unit said fully charged.

The current dust collector has a different design

Hard to actually isolate it so will give it a few days and see how it goes.

  • Is it actually docking properly? Is it 100% battery before it leaves the base?

Our base is in an awkward spot that is mostly against a wall, but over time it moves further away from the wall. As it docks, it slightly pushes the base away from itself (~2mm), which when it’s still against the wall is no issue as it just moves forward a bit, but over ~6 or so weeks it’s moved the dock away from the wall, so when it docks, it acknowledges it’s connected to the base but pushes the dock away enough that it disconnects itself.

    • Thanks for your input

This is why I got it replaced as it wouldn't dock no matter what. Very similar experience though.

We have odd walls so when it pushes I there is a verge. I've put books behind it as familiar with it doesn't like not docking perfectly. Still didn't work.

It ran fine for 8 weeks or so on it then just spat the dummy
