Best Place to Sell Used Phone for Instant Cash in Sydney?

Does anyone know a place in Sydney that offers instant cash for used phones?

I know I could get more by selling through Facebook Marketplace, but I'm looking for a quick and hassle-free sale. I'm happy with the quotes I got from Mobile Monster and similar businesses, but I don’t like that I have to send my phone in first without knowing if I’ll actually get the quoted price. I've also read some reviews where people said the company tried to lowball them by falsely claiming the phone had scratches. Some even alleged that if you asked for the phone to be returned, they’d purposely scratch it before sending it back.

Cash converters or those pawn shops. But any place that offers quick money will lowball you but it's instant cash.

Cash converters offers me $400 for Pixel 9 pro fold, while mobile monster offer $1040.

      • Literally just sent my MacBook to Mobile Monster today. Wish I am in Melbourne. It's a risk to take, but their offer is too good.

I just spent a few minutes reading some pretty scathing reviews about them not honouring their offers. Fingers crossed for you.

Worse if they deliberately break your macbook when you asked for return in case they give a lowball offer after inspection.

This is one of the review I saw:

Dodgy, Horrible, Unsatisfying! – Would NEVER use Mobile Monster again! I sent in my phone to sell. Took pics of it before sending. It was in perfect condition. Bubble wrapped it before sending. They emailed saying it was falsely described due to a broken screen and then tried to only offer me $20. I asked for it to be returned as it was in perfect condition when sent. They returned me a phone with a smashed screen.. Not Impressed with their service at all!

So may as well take the best offer OP gets on facebook.

You can sell a phone in 24 hours on facebook if its priced right

      • Probably not 24 hours quick, but I could sell it pretty quick on marketplace if I'm willing to let go the same price as mobile monster. Which is what I'm gonna do I think

Do you have CEX in Sydney? They aren’t the best price, but it’s instant cash in store.

(Edit) should be between $772 and $962 depending on condition.

    • Do you have CEX in Sydney?

I had my AI bot read this to me and it sounded a little too forward.

        So it was bad CEX?

    • I got a good offer when i went to sell my phones to CEX but this depends on age of the phone and demand.

How can I sell a phone on Ozbargain without using classifieds? Asking for a friend.

  • Instant === cheaper than any where else.

    • agree instant and good price dont belong in the same sentence

    • I feel like having to pay for postage and risk of customers asking the phone to be returned is also an expenses to the business, unless their business model is to lure customers to send their phone in so they can give lowball offer.

      • You asked about instant sale. Snail mail the phone is not instant.
