  • Looks good with the 4 NVMe slots even though they're PCIE 3.0 x1 (because Intel N150) and a 120mm fan should be easy enough to swap with Arctic/Noctua for better cooling.

They do make some nice SSD NAS drives. I've always wanted the M1 NAS to land on AliExpress cheap with it's 4 M.2 NVMe slots.

  • this looks awesome, already have the Aoostar arriving next week though.

Is the Aoostar CPU fan not changeable?

    • -1

not easily tried when i had mine and could only get as far as 120cm fan. I was unable to control the cpu fan so it ramped alot.

      • Ryzen or N150?

        • +1

mine was a ryzen, not sure about n150

    • Interested to hear your thoughts on the aoostar.
This looks slightly better tho with ddr5 and multiple nvme slots

This is an insane piece of kit for homelab

    Insane in the membrane?

  • This vs TerraMaster F4-424 Pro 32gb ?

For plex, some docker containers, video surveillance. No llms.

    • F4 Pro would have a N305 at least, so a much faster CPU. But it has 2 NVME slots rather than 4.

I expect either would be fine, F4’s more expensive but also a good deal on Prime if you stack the 5% off PayTo.

I’d probably get the F4 for local warranty & likely better support.

      • Yep, the local warranty is a major plus.

        F4s with unraid shouldn't disappoint

        (Hopefully Unraid doesn't void warranty)

  • I can get the product itself for 290USD, but, the shipping and tax blow it out to a total of 382.72USD.

    Maybe I'm being silly?

    • looks like the price increased. Ask for a deal
