    I'd say these aren't worth it.

    Unless you've got something like an old American car, you're not going to need the imperial spanners, and I've never needed those large sizes either. So for a typical DIY user, they'd only use around a quarter of the set.

    Ratcheting spanners are way better, and although I prefer the reversible ratcheting spanners, you can frequently get a set of metric ratcheting spanners for under $100.

    And if you really need the long pattern, there's cheaper options available without some of the sizes most people wouldn't use;

      So for a typical DIY user, they'd only use around a quarter of the set.

      You see my opening comment, I clearly say these are not for everyone.

      Unless you've got something like an old American car, you're not going to need the imperial spanners

      Incorrect, I don't have an old American car, yet I use SAE far more than metric due to my US Cub Cadet Mower, and Australian made Greenfield, both use SAE.
      You say you don't use the large sizes, then this set isn't for you, however I do use 1-1/4″ & 1-1/2″. I also needed 30mm for something else recently.

      Ratcheting spanners are way better

      In some cases sure, but there is a bloody good reason not all wrenches are ratcheting, they can't handle the same torque as non ratcheting. You have linked to a non locking flex set, which is even weaker and all together for another purpose.

      And if you really need the long pattern, there's cheaper options available without some of the sizes most people wouldn't use;

      Again, goes back to my first comment on the post, not for everyone, all of your options are useless are missing covering this range as an alternative.

      I'd say these aren't worth it.

      If you could offer an actual alternative to this that covered the same bases for those that do have a need for this range, then great, please actually post that, otherwise your point is flawed as you've failed to offer a true like for like alternative.

      This goes back to the video I linked to, where the Snap-On SOEXFSET1BG set is AUD $4,909.92. They aren't worth it, and this Gearwrench set is the alternative, and offers more sizes.

      For what's included in this set it is definitely worth the price. The inclusion of those odd in-between sizes (20mm, 21mm, 23mm etc) that are not in most sets and the large sizes that cost a fortune to buy individually (anything >24mm) make this set good value.

      If I didn't already have multiple sets of spanners that cover all of these sizes I would definitely purchase this set, as I often use the odd sizes and extra large spanners in my workplace. But for the average Joe this set would be excessive.
