Salt content and shelf stable preservatives is my guess. I think stuff like tomato sauce is good for a year past best before date. Not sure if it'll make you sick, but the taste and structure will likely degrade.

The Netherlands made one is best, NZ one has a weird acidic flavour. Also, the blue label no added sugar one is even better.
Is the "No sugar added" available in Oz? Or the made in the Netherlands one?
I've only seen the 50% less added sugar & salt. This is my go to.
