Aren't these 2 games from the Wii days?

How are they still re-releasing these? Aren't they done beating the dead horse by now?
Imagine if they still re-released Atari games and expected people to re-buy them, again and again…

Yeah because everyone who wants to play it will go and buy a Wii

    • That’s funny, because that’s exactly what’s happening https://amzn.asia/d/gRDVole

This is a bit of a crazy concept but imagine if unique and creative games like No More Heroes that were locked to a 20 year-old console that doesn't even have a HDMI port were available to play on modern portable hardware and they were available to play on special. Its pretty wild but here we are.

      • Original 2007/2008 release on the Wii.
      • PS3/Xbox 360 expanded port in 2010.
      • Switch/PC remaster in 2020/2021.

That's really only 3 distinct releases to different platforms and audience over the span of 18 years.

If you want to complain about unnecessary re-releases, try your luck with The Last of Us instead.

Or the fact that Sonic 2 is one of the most re-released games out there. There's four different ways to play it on Switch alone.

    • well to people who haven't played these back in Wii days, there're fun to be had. That'd be a lot of people. For this price, it's worth trying out.

    Woosh

    The point is:

The more we support these rehashed re-releases,
The less original and creative games they would bother making.

In this case they released the Switch/PC remasters of NMH 1 + 2 specifically so that new (and returning) players of the game can play them together with No More Heroes 3 (released in 2021).
