Wow, a GTX 1650 in 2025…I feel like a 2060 should be the bare minimum these days.

    • They run each game we run a tournament for. But we have more powerful options for people that want a more powerful rental option.

      • Maybe so, but at what framerate?

        • +3

Depends on the game and the settings.

But they will all run at 60fps minimum

    • Hey mate, they do still punch well above their weight, but we do tend to agree. Bit of a team misunderstanding there, those weren't meant to be listed anymore and all has been updated accordingly.

Why did 5 people downvote my comment?? It was a perfectly valid point.

I'll be direct here: it's because it sounded rude, and entitled.

Granted, it was a typo, however being constructive on OzBargain is better than not. If you felt that a 1650 is underpowered, you could have phrased your comment to be curious instead of critical. "How do the 1650 cards perform in the available games?" might have been better received, and delivered you a reasonable answer.

          • @JarrodRebecchie: Maybe, but Bryan said he even agreed with me, and I did ask how the 1650 performs in my 2nd comment.

Guys, if you've seen this on here a few times and you thought about going before. Just get a ticket and try it. This event represents everything we loved about gaming growing up. No cheaters, no spammers, no 12 yo talking about your mama. Its 100% wholesome fun with like minded people who just want to enjoy a couple of games.

    • Can I still talk trash about people's mamas if it's a two way conversation?

    • Does it mean I have to do a real life tea bagging tho?

  • Love this initiative. Timing is always off for me but maybe the next one. Pretty good that catering is included.

    • yea I'm the same! Adult responsibilities means timing tends to be off…hopefully I can make one soon with enough notice.

  • Do you have Deltaforce? I would go if you ever have a day in Sydney.

  • As above, if you're ever in Sydney or close to it, I am interested.

We'd love to do one in Sydney, it's just a logistical nightmare for a Melbourne-based team.

Getting all the equipment up there is a challenge but potentially doable, but working with a venue that we wouldn't be able to see ahead of time makes it difficult to plan.

We'd also have to likely increase prices substantially while also reducing what we had not offer.

So we're keen and will keep exploring it, but I'm not sure it'll be realistic.
