Footscray and Banh Mi what more can you say?
I've been here before and wasn't that impressed compared to Nhu Lan and F&B.
But hey people state they have higher quality ingredients…
And sadly no pate.

Hi everyone!
We’re The Local Cafe in Footscray. It’s been just over a year since we opened, and we’re so grateful for all the support we’ve received from the local community and fellow bánh mì lovers.

To say thank you, we’re giving away 900 FREE bánh mì over 3 days – that’s 300 each day!

📍 The Local Cafe – 38 Moore Street, Footscray
📅 Monday 14th – Wednesday 16th July
⏰ 8:30am to 3:00pm, or until sold out each day

We’ll have all your favourites – crispy pork, bbq chicken, lemongrass tofu, and more. Freshly made, packed with flavour, and 100% on us 🥰

    Bread is more flaky and less chewy, place is small and sold out of pork by midday.

    I've been there recently after watching TJ's video. As a Vietnamese myself I would say they have a pretty interesting approach when it comes to ingredients. It's good banhmi don't get me wrong, just don't expect similar flavor to Nhu Lan or your usual banh mi place

        Indeed, Subway tends to cater to those with an underdeveloped palate.

          Subway is okay if there's no other options but I think it's very expensive for what it is. I've spoken to a few people who've worked there and they've told me that the quality of the cold cuts, chicken, 'seafood' etc is the lowest of the low. I do like their Macadamia cookies though.

    30 mins to get in and it's another 20 min wait for the order.

    And the pork banh mi are sold out already

    Bahn Mi rocks but because they're getting so popular, every man and his dog is jumping on the bandwagon so you really do have to shop around as they are not all created equal.
