Philips 6000 Series PerfectCare Steam Generator PSG6064/80 $259 Delivered @ Bing Lee eBay

240

Excludes QLD Regional, SA Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote.

I bought this a while ago when it was on sale for $399 at The Good Guys. After tracking prices for a couple of months, that was the cheapest deal I could find. This is the lowest price I’ve seen for this steam generator.

  • Crazy cheap

  • I was considering thia before but ended up getting braun carestyle 5, as this one rarely been on good sale.

    Great price!

    • I've also picked up the Carestyle 5. On paper, it's a better machine than this one? It has higher steam output and it's cheaper. When I did my research, seems like the only selling point of Philips is the no-burns guarantee.

      • Funny I also just brought the Carestyle 5 recently. The Carestyle scores one point higher in Choice's ratings - https://imgur.com/a/uUmkXcN

Good to know some of us have same view. For sure carestyle 5 is the better one :p
It was on sale for $250 and i managed to get help from my friend staffs discount down to $200

That was my first steamer generator and i am a happy customer.

I bet this philip will do the same with carestyle but it is hardly on sale

what's the difference between this and the blue one? the blue one is $219 at Bing Lee and JB.

    • -1

Was wondering the same. Straight from ChatGPT 🙂

      So what’s the difference?
      • This white/blue model (PSG6026/20) offers the same core features (steam power, tank size, OptimalTEMP tech) as the black/gold PSG6064/80 model you saw for $499.
      • The key differences are cosmetic (colour) and possibly minor design touches or accessories, but functionally, they are extremely similar—both belong to the 6000 Series.

    • Was shopping these for a couple months, each model across all the brands has a feminine and masculine colour scheme. The masculine is always an extra $50 or so.

    • +2

They have different pumps. The PSG6064/80 (Gold) boasts a more powerful steam output (8.0 bar pressure and 600g steam boost) while the PSG6026/20 (Blue) has a 6.5 bar pressure and a 500g steam boost.

    • The gold black is much better compared the blue one. If you are planning to get one, get this one as it is rarely this low on sale.
Better pump, burst, and it felt lighter than the blue
      Color is also better

  • The thumbnail looks like a Mandalorian mask to me.

Anyone know how these compare to Laurastar?

    • Different price.
I always think laurastar is for commercial use.
I have checked their video, boy they are very great.
But as i only need it for home use, this specs already good enough

      • Yes true. I have a 10 year old Laurastar that I think I bought for about $7-800 and it's been great. Was wondering if technology has moved on.

    • Laurastar is whole another level in Ironing Game ! Something similar feature will easily set you back $1099+ given with their current promotion which is Fair price . So the Choice is yours ! But you are Comparing Philips starting range Steam Jet with some of the High end almost Commercial Home Iron Brand ! If money wasn’t an Issue You would Purchase Laura star without even questioning . The Value for Money , Longevity and you won’t Miss a Steam if you maintain it well .

  • Do I need this?
How does it compare with a more traditional iron like the Braun texstyle?

    • +1

You will be able to iron faster using this steam generator.
I did the research and decided to replace my traditional iron (mine is not the expensive one) for this because i have many shirts to iron and i didnt regret my decision. Its a lot faster to iron shirt.

Only cons is it took longer to setup and you need to clean (decalc) after each use. So if you only need to iron like 1-2 clothes,, traditional iron will be more efficient.
I usually just let my laundry pile up after 1-2 weeks
Then just use the steam generator to iron them

Amazon have it for the same price

  • Can't remember when was the last time i ironed my clothes! 🤭
