Any idea if this is any good. i already have a DDPAI Dash Cam that i got on special for $39 and its been pretty good using a 256g SD card. The specs on my $39 Camera look higher then this one. Not sure why

This store has been perma bannedfrom Rep posts because they kept sockpuppeting. The funny thing is they would have received warnings but did it again & again anyway.

Mate i'm looking for a new dash cam, you rate the DDPAI one? Can you tell me its model number?

Wait for it to go back on special.. "black Friday? maybe?
Its an awesome dash cam.. i turned off the sound cause it was annoying but apart from that i've gone back to it to see video's are they have been clear, great QTY and recorded fine.. i take the SD card out for ease of use to see the video's… also i turned down the sensitivity to the second lowest as it was recording speed bumps too often :) the video's are really clear even at night,

        • I got that but didn't end up installing it.

It non-removable so during Summer, it's going to be cooked in your car.

        • legend, thanks!

What’s ozbargains favourite dashcam recently under 100$ ?

  • Better off waiting for Viofo A119 mini 2 when it goes on sale for about $110-120.

    • Nah, im done with Viofo. Ive had 3 fail prematurely now. Not going there again.

    • I wouldn't trust it tbh as it looks like generic crap!

Recently got the redtiger f9 dual dash cam for $107 (ebay plus ) and has a very nice camera sensor. You may want to consider that too

  • I picked up generic brands and so far it's going okay, one lasted through the aussie summer quite well; got another one in my current car and will see if it survives the summer; for $30 it was a no brainer to try out haha.

App probably stole some personal details though like my email and name, but at the rate of all the hacks from the 'secure' places - my details are likely all over now

There's an LTT video explaining how most of the dash cams all use the same sensor. It's a little outdated but there's something like 4-5 camera sensors, and if they have the same sensor their image quality is the same. That being said, read reviews for things like capacitor vs battery and performance when leaving it in a hot car all day

Tldr more $ doesn't mean better image quality
