Looking for a Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire or Better

I saw this thread on the Fenix 8 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/899245 So pricey! (Will try the BUPA option).

Anything for a Fenix 7??? My 5 lasted 8 or 9 years and just flat out died. GPT thinks it is the mainboard as nothing lights up charging nor does the PC see anything.

A silver lining is the watch payment which the Fenix 5 missed out on.

So any recommendations? Maile wrist. I had the non - X version. (so the mid sized one).

Any help greatly appreciated. I feel naked without my watch. Don't like touch screen or recharging more than once a week so apple is out…

  Ok, so Epix Pro 2 Saphire 47mm (my preferred size) is on sale for 28% off at JB hifi - 1199… Still pricey but maybe a good fit for what I want and I get the flashlight which seems to be handy in many reviews

  The Fenix 7 specials were great… but sold out/expired.

    How is your gps signal acquisition
    When I wait for the gps to lock before going for a surf it has hard standing there for a minute

    Waiting 3 to 5 as some reports say will be harder for me lol

  Yeah I want the 8 as well for SCUBA. Using a PHI discount is the best I've figured out so far, but it's still a lot of money.

      Private Health Insurance. Like BUPA, but others do it, e.g., NIB. Not sure who else.

        ok, thx. yeah I found it in my Bupa account, but only new watches, not used.

        So 1199 for an EPIX 2 pro discounted from 1699 at garmin or at shops - which was as low as 899 in June (tears)

        Or a new Gramin Fenix 8 47mm for 1386 after BUPA discount 25% and another 10% at the International gate if I have the right receipt.

        Fenix 8 - solar or amoled?

        mmm. Fark, I think I spent just of 500 AUD for my Fenix 5 sapphire back then.
