  • Hi, I was lucky enough to grab 1, but I noticed a few odd details… Although it said 8gb on the case, and on the drive, on the back it showed that the colors relate to the size, and i had a blue, listed as 4gb, and my friend has a green, listed as 1gb. So I plugged it in, and it showed up in Windows as 7.5 GB (you know its always a bit less than what i says)…. So, Just out of interest, I downloaded a program designed to test the capacity, as many flash drives such as those sold on eBay are infact fakes, such as 4gb drives which have been re-programmed so that they look like 8gb but still only hold 4gb. So i ran the program, which is known as Bart's Stuff (in case anyone was interested), and believe it or not, It ran out of space after 4gb!!! I intend to complain to The Good Guys shortly, and I urge you to test yours too.

If you want to test, use Bart's Stuff or use H2testW. Just do a search on Google… I am eager to hear your results!

    • Blimey! That's not what I would have expected from the Good Guys!

  • Its fine, I discovered that the drive is formatted in FAT32 Format. In FAT32, the maximum size for an individual file is 4GB, and the tester tried to create a bigger file.
