    Electrics have to have their foil and blades replaced every so often too and at $37.5/year (replacement every 1.5 years), for me the shave was still really crap compared to a decent cartridge like the Gillettes.
    So I went back to cartridges - decent shave and no cuts. Very rarely ingrown hairs if I prep my face properly. Yes, it's exxier but imo worth it since I only go through a cartridge every 1.5 months.

      That is pretty good. I used to go through 1 or 2 per week when I was in my twenties, so it was pretty expensive.

        Damn 2 a week?! You must have a forest on your face! I have fairly sparse but very thick hairs so every blade or cartridge I use lasts me a while.

        Safety razors would probably be your affordable alternative but can be a real pain (literally) if you're in a rush.
