Mine with walnuts, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate and blueberries and soy milk 😁
What darc choc and how do you prepare it for weet-bix?
Any brand. Just grate it on top
@corky: Oh yeah, grate, and then if you heated the milk it melts.
Sounds like a good idea, I wonder if I could melt a 90% piece in a small saucepan and add 🤔
How many do you do?
I've managed to wean myself down to one row a day.
I initially read it as "one a day" and thought how could one resist not having another. Then saw "one row a day" when I re-read. That's more like it
When I was a kid I had 14 once
Don't think I can do that anymore
10 pieces in one go on average - sinking in milk with chopped bananas.
1 part Weet Bix to 1 part Milo for me. + milk.
only thing that has changed is now i cant afford the honey hahahahahahah
Probably better that way, on a macro level it's just sugar, substitute for frozen berries and/or banana, cinnamon, nutmeg
They are 50% off every week on rotation in all different stores
Yeah, similar to many products at Colesworth, it's why it seems the consolidated weekly specials posts work well instead of single listings like this that could threaten to clog up the new deals pages.
They only come every few months
Nope
Yeah been scarce lately
Are the organic ones 50% off too?
What's the difference between an organic and non-organic cereal?
Glyphosate. Diquat. Etc.
Ingredients: Wholegrain wheat (97%), raw sugar, salt, barley malt extract, vitamins (niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, folate), mineral (iron)
Those don't appear to be included.
@tenpercent: Read.
Didn't mention glyphosate, or diquats.
Dont understand. How are organic weet-bix different from non-organic weet-bix?
@muwu: Organic weet-bix are made from certified organic wheat. There is quite a lot involved for farmers to get organic certification, and they can't use certain pesticides or fertilizers which often means they get reduced yields, making the grain more expensive.
Whether or not it is actually better for you is a point of contention.
I'm waiting for the Cholesterol lowering weet-bix to go on sale. This version contains plant sterols and has been proven to lower cholesterol. There are probably cheaper and more effective ways of eating these things, but it tastes like normal weet-bix and is convenient.
Organic weet bix taste different (imo better) FWIW
Oats > cereal
Not if you believe Facebook/tiktok doctors
Facebook/tiktok doctors
Not an actual medical doctor
Are you inferring that all the experts from Tik Tok University are in fact uneducated? 😱

As per the Woolies/ Amazon Weetbix post last week.
For those in SA, Foodland / Drake's normally have these Weetbix for an even $2 this week.
30 grams of oat bran and 30grams of pea protein with water and 1 banana for breakfast for me goes down quick. I did a lot of Weetbix back in the day tried to blend for a while with milk went down quick tasted like crap though.
I always liked Vita Brits better. No added sugar, and less soggy than Weet-bix. Whereas Weet-bix has added sugar, and goes soggy instantly. Don't see Vita Brits in the supermarket very often nowadays though.
Not to mention you're not supporting an organisation, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, that doesn't pay taxes.
What is interesting is that Sanitarium recently bought Vita Brits from Uncle Tobys.
So now Santarium owns both Vita Brits and Weet-bix.
Did Sanitarium buy Vita Brits to reduce the competition? Maybe that's why I don't see it in the supermarket very often anymore.
Four every morning with honey and various fruit (bananas, blueberries, strawberries, stewed prunes & apple) and a dash of milk……yummo
