  • Does anyone know how this compares with the Bose soundlink mini ii (in terms of sound)

    • Sound is a very subjective thing.

There's lots of comparison and review on the sound. Just Google. I read more clinical typical of Yamaha, not bass heavy tune.

  • $22 for delivery to Sydney suburbs…is a bit much. Was gonna get but will pass due to cost of shipping.

    • buy 2 for free shipping

Great idea…ordered. Now I have a spare one…anyone want to buy the spare off me in upper North shore Sydney, let me know!

  • Order was express shipped (bought 2), so free.Very happy.

Package was protected too thinly IMO but just superficial box corner dent. Was shipped fast and arrived overnight to Sydney suburbs.

Speaker itself - very happy. The design OMG is beautiful. Much nicer than anything else on the market, but this is subjective. (As an industrial designer by degree).

Sound is rich and has enough base, treble is good and not overly bright. (I am not an audiophile but I do have a planar drive IEM and Philips Fidelio headphone) plus it's a single driver so don't expect wide soundstage. No static or hiss even at low levels.

For the money. Bargain. Considering you can go a lot worse on some no name brand or chifi crap for similar money.

Love the audio cues. None of that Chinese lady with American accent speaking or loud obnoxious chimes. This is proper Japanese…nice piano (cause it's Yamaha, hello) tones instead. Nice thoughtful detail.

sounds good. I don't have one but that's what I would expect from audio company Yamaha.

My daughter got this last week. Listen side by side, I can't tell the sound quality difference. Like I said I am no audiophile.

But for $20 more…very happy even when I don't really need it! (Ozbargain mentality)

        The build quality
        The materials
        The design
        The audio cues
        The finer steps in volume
        Quieter lowest volume
(I bet) Longer lasting battery (both quite 12hr, but the no name one is actually like 5hr)
