My Credit Card Comparison for Churners (Velocity and QFF)

Hopefully I can give back and help other credit card churners in the process with my basic credit card analysis data. I made this to find out which is the best card to churn to (for me, based on the points:annual fee ratio). Only covers cards offering bonus QFF or VFF points.

Not exhaustive and may not be entirely up to date as I did the bulk of it a few months ago but I hope it helps save someone some time.

Kudos for the effort but it is very hard to read. Consider a google spreadsheet. Also, how is this different to other points comparison websites?

    • I did notice that and normally would’ve put in more effort but I’m tired (and don’t use Google hosted stuff unless necessary).

If there’s enough demand I might do it later.

For me it’s better as I quickly see all important metrics without having to read a fluffed-up article. Points per annual spend dollar is my most important decision making criteria and I didn’t see that on my brief browses (though it could be there, I just like doing my own research direct from the source)

Fair enough. Mine is points per minimum dollar spend.

      • great that you arent shoving refferals down our throats - this is great value!

    credit card comparison(justpaste.it)

Why is it hosted in Italy ?

  • maybe you can update the wiki then you won't need to worry about putting it on another site

    • Didn’t know that existed - thanks!

citi unlimited lounge is ending sooon (1 Aug 2025)

    • Thanks for the update.

I know it’s free but last time I used a priority pass lounge it was pretty shit, airline lounge or nothing (thanks HSBC Star Alliance card).

      • I think the citi card still allows for ":eat:" places unlike the amex plat version of PP. This means 15x 30odd dollar meals in a year after the new setup. Not just free lounges….

priority pass is shit, their lounge offerings overseas are crap and overcrowded generally

Wow tables really doesn't do well on justpaste.it

Two websites all credit card churners should know is https://www.rwrds.com.au/ and https://www.pointhacks.com.au/

Rwrds even has a login system so you can enter date you closed off a credit card to keep track of when you can jump back on it again.

  • I like it, great work. Just need to rename the final row to "Points:fee ratio"

  • Its all about signup bonus's unless you are huge spenders on credit cards, $/point earn rates are a waste of time to compare

real churners get signup bonus's and move on

    • 💯

And compare that to the annual fee for max ROI.

    • real churners get signup bonus's and move on

It's become difficult to "move on", when Westpac,
ANZ and St. George, impose restrictions on rewards eligibility
if you had their respective rewards credit card within the last 24-months of application.

There are still credit cards from non-big4 like Citibank, HSBC, Virgin Money, Amex etc.

        • I'm already with Citibank and Amex.
I churned through Virgin Money, twice, in the last 18+ months, hah.

HSBC rejected me 1 year ago, and gave me no reason (maybe they do know I'm a churner).

Then again, the good HSBC deal for their StarAlliance offer, is gone,
unless you know of a good HSBC card offer now ?

I'm really after a Credit Card for some points, for the next 6+ months, as I have some things to buy.

@whyisave: This offer has expired but it had a great ROI. I've got more than $600 cash back with sign-up cashback and 2 followed promo after. Could have been full $750 if I didn't used to the max. The cherry on top is that I still not needed repay yet the $6K I spent 2 months ago with their 110 days interest free.

May be start looking at non bank credit card lenders for anything interesting.

            • @timhn: That's a pretty good deal, to offset the expenditures with a cashback, ie. 10% !

I was actually focusing on saving up the Velocity Frequent Flyer points,
so I look for those type of Credit Card deals.

Back in the days when Revolut were not charging loading fee for credit card, I racked up heaps if Qantas Points. Before anyone asks, there was not cash advance fee levied on Visa credit card, these trxns were treated as normal pos trxns. Nab caught upto this and closed the loophole, but ANZ never did.

Question is are there any other hacks like this which ppl are using to collect points? Thanks
