Still rockin the Ryobi from this deal….

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/679813

  • Cheers grabbed one. Will be good for summer. Also have a free battery after returning the work light last year.

    • -8

You can return the fan too and score another free battery and charger.

      • can you though?

        • With the light, they added to invoice as 1c, so when you returned it, they would refund minus 1c.

Not sure what the process is with the Fan.
Also i bought C&C and bunnings advertise in store only while stocks last, so not sure if ill get the battery/charger yet until i go and collect

  • How good is this fan? I got the Rypbi hybrid one. It's too noisy

    • +1

I was pleasantly surprised by the cooling effect the fan has even at lowest setting. When you crank the dial up, it hums quite loud, but not obnoxiously loud in my opinion.

    • Anyone used the inflator? Wouldn't mind one to keep in the car.

      • +2

Yeah it's great. It does low pressure, high volume as well as high pressure, low volume.

It's solidly built and had a jog-wheel for quick incremental PSI setting.

      • It's a heavy duty unit. Used one for years. Annoying thing is its reading is in Bar pressure not PSI so need to do a quick calculation to workout desired PSI pressure. The motor is noisey when running but thats typical of all inflators. The unit includes a ball inflator tip and plastic tip for blow ups etc.

      • Have had one of these for maybe 5 years. Very handy when 4x4ing. Much cheaper, easier, and useful than an onboard air compressor (Car tyres, pool toys, airbeds, sports balls). Highly recommended.

      • I have one and I love it, but it's too big and heavy to keep permanently in the car. The Bosch EasyPump would probably fill that role better.

      • I've had one for 3 years and live by it. Use it mainly for car / motorcyle tyres as well as bike tyres. Hasn't skipped a beat yet. It's not too big to be in your car all the time in the boot, but keep in mind any battery larger than maybe 3 Ah will stick out further than the 'feet' so it won't be stable

        • +1

I use a 5Ah battery and it doesn't stick out. Also the inflator is great. Use it to top up tyres as well as when doing puncture repairs. But I usually catch the leak/puncture pretty early, so worst case is inflating from 25psi to 38psi and it has no problems doing that.

I said to myself limit myself to ryobi Ozito but this got me thinking lol

    • +1

The Dewalt tools I have cost less than the Ryobi ones. I just sold my Ryobi hammer drill.

  • I finally can spent my totaltool insider $100 reward.

  • I am not a fan!

  • -3

$35 ish on Ali X. But obviously not bonus battery etc.

  • +1

    Not a fan

    • +2

I see what you did there

    • So not fan-tastic then….

  • is it brushless? Notice the small Ozito fan advertises "brushless" as one of its main features.
    Ozito fan $50 - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-18v-brushless-compact-fan-…

    • +1

That ozito fan is 112mm I think the dewalt fan is 178mm

      • The ozito batteries only cost a fraction

  • How would these go for camping? Too noisy for sleep?

Would Bunnings price match beyond tools for the vacuum?
    18V XR L-CLASS HAND VACUUM…. DCV501LN-XJ
    https://beyondtools.com/products/18v-l-class-hand-held-stick…

    • Could you please post the result if you are going to Bunnings to check? I'm also interested in that vacuum. Thanks

      • +2

I managed to get them to price beat it. It turned out to be quite an effort, but in the end, i got a good deal

        • I was wrong. Well done! I honestly did not think they would do it.

    • Might be wrong, but I think that would be a waste of time. Beyond Tools are not part of the free battery and charger promo. Plus they only have 1 in stock.

Try it anyway, worst they can say is no:)

    • +1

Now listed on the Bunnings website at $179 when you click on it. Just bought one with the battery etc. It says instore-only but I used Onepass click and collect with 5 x flybuy points etc and simply asked for the battery charger combo as I was in-store - no issues.

      • Thanks for pointing out. Just bought one.

      • You are welcome! :)

It is a good deal and a great vacuum!

It took 30 seconds for me to clean the tiled foyer and a minute to do the carpeted stairs where my "Laziest Kelpie in Australia" sleeps. It normally takes half an hour with a Dyson and another cordless stick vac as they run out of battery trying to run in "turbo" mode. This DeWalt only runs in super turbo mode which sucks up everything in one pass, and I have so many batteries, it never runs out of juice.

  • The battery itself is advertised as $129 on bunnings. Is that right?

    • Yes.

    • yes. It has always been at that price. People are selling that for $80 on market places

  • Selling for $134.10 at Tool Kit Depot with the redemption.. Everything else is 10% off too by the look of it.

  • +3

Just bought this for $120 (Sydney tools selling it for $134, Bunnings beat it by 10%).

    • Did the same thing. Bunnings don't price match Tool Kit Depot, but they will with Sydney tools. Bought fan and planer.

      • Just picked my fan up for $120. Bargain and summer sorted for those beach days

        • Did you get them to change the price of your click and collect?

      • because TKD is bunnings.

  • +1

Bought fan yesterday and been testing it on lowest power setting on the 5ah battery. So far it's still going strong after 12 HOURS!

  • +1

Still $134.10 at bunnings. Syd tools are back up to $149. Surely bunnings will revert the price back soon to $144 or higher.

    • Thanks. They are all over the place with the pricing. I think this is the 3rd time I have changed it.

  • Someone would say the battery alone costs this much and the fan is free … It's a mindset.

How it compares to the Vovo something circular fan popular on here?

  • Amazon has 184mm Circular Saw DCS570N for $229. Came to $206.11 with 10% price beat including bonus battery and charger. Very happy with that.

  • Anyway to check stock of the bonus battery and charger pack? Checked and called 4 stores and non left

    • I believe not. Below is a quote directly from the offer on Bunnings site.

Bonus DCB1104P1: T&Cs apply, see www.guaranteedtough.com.au. Open to AU res 18+. Ends: 11:59pm AEST 21-09-25, or once stock runs out, whichever is first to occur. Max 1 claim p/transaction in store only. Not available online.

Most important point is; "Or once stock runs out". A cop out in my opinion. Means they can end it whenever they want. Not Bunnings fault, squarely on Dewalt.

      • Yep but the Bunnings website is still advertising it with the bonus battery pack and showing available. I can understand. At the same time this can waste many people's times.

      • Ha! I didn't think of that. Good thinking..

      • Thanks. This really helps.
