Great range of cards, real shame about the $500/day limit though.

  • Let's hope they have fixed the issue with some of the Everyone cards not registering any points!

  • +13

For anyone interested, Subway was removed from the Ultimate gift card scheme yesterday (including Everyone and Teens).

As far as I can tell (and as per usual), there was no advanced warning of Subway's removal…

    • +3

Subway are shutting down their gift card program and I think sales are ending in August. Redemption isn't affected as far as I am aware if you already have a card but new card sales are about to end and hence are being removed from partner gift card schemes as well.

      • I've got an email from them as well as they've just shutting down the gift card sales however the SubCard will continue to work as a loyalty card which is storing as a points as credit which can be redeemed on a later stage.

    • I am still able to see Subway as an exchange option on my existing ultimate cards so I presume this only affects newly bought cards from now on?

      • +1

I have an answer from Blackhawk Network on this.

Subway is in the process of being offboarded from the Ultimate gift card scheme. You can still use Ultimate gift cards at Subway (excluding ones at OTR service stations, which have never accepted them) for the time being, but Subway will be removed some day in the future. Once this happens, a notice will be published on the Help & FAQ page on the Ultimate gift card website.

It sounds like this affects gift cards bought before and after the Subway logo was removed from the Ultimate gift card website.

I do have some old gift card used for nandos and has some remaining balance. As per my checking you cant pay some with gift card and remaining with debit card . So how can i use remaining amount on gift card?

    • You can use your remaining gift card balance at Nando's. Simply order at the register, let them know the remaining amount on the card and they can charge that specific amount.

  • Can someone more numerate do the maths on this one for me please? How does it compare to "get 10% off Ultimate gift cards" promos - same, better, worse?

    • +3
Monetary Value Points Given Points Equivalent in $ % of Spend Returned
      $30 600 $3.00 10%
      $50 1,000 $5.00 10%
      $100 2,000 $10.00 10%
    • +10

Works out to be 9.1% off.

      $100 gift card at 10% off = get $100 value from $90 spend = 90/100 => 10% discount
      $100 gift card with 20x bonus points = get get $110 value from $100 spend = 100/110 => 9.1% discount

      • If the $100 gift card is 10% off, you are effectively getting a $10 instant cashback.

If you instead receive 2000 points for buying that $100 gift card, you are getting $10 back as a credit towards your groceries.

In both cases you save $10 in the process of buying a $100 gift card. The only difference is how you receive that $10 saving.

Contrast this with a promo where you pay $100 to receive a $110 gift card. In that instance, the discount is 9.1%.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong :)

The ultimate everyone gift cards are amazing for choice. Only sucks that you can't convert to shein gift card but instead having to use the entire amount at once; since it's the main form of payment as a debit card.

  • -2

    Is variable included?

    • "Excludes all Ultimate Variable Gift Cards."

  • Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many/ max value of these vouchers can be redeemed per booking transaction for luxury escapes?

    • I think it's unlimited but there's a wiki on ozbargain that has more details

      • +2

It was unlimited but last month they added this line to their terms and conditions:

The maximum redemption value for Gift Cards not purchased directly through the Website is limited to $1,500 per order.

  • great

  • My Ultimate Everyone cards aren't working (bought via Shopback).

Shopback haven't replied at all, but Ultimate did reply and said they were doing some update..try now etc.

Didn't work. Haven't been able to access the cards for 6 weeks now.

I know this isn't via shopback, but just a heads up that there is some "gremlins" in the Ultimate system that they are aware of.

  • Any card that lets you get discounted super cheap auto ?

    • +1

The Ultimate Him gift cards in this deal are not a great option, as Supercheap Auto started being phased out of the Ultimate gift card scheme nearly three years ago. It would be extremely difficult to find physical Ultimate Him gift cards for sale today that still support Supercheap Auto.

An alternative would be Giftz, as they are currently selling $10-$500 Super eGift Cards at 10% off1 (and those gift cards can be redeemed at Supercheap Auto).

Some discounted gift card portals also sell Supercheap Auto gift cards or Super gift cards at a discount everyday (up to 10% off).

      1. If you are going to use PayPal on Giftz, please avoid using a credit card as the funding source, as there have been a number of reports (e.g. this one) of PayPal transactions at Giftz being treated by some credit card issuers - particularly Commonwealth Bank - as cash advances. If you instead directly use your credit card on Giftz (or via Apple/Google Pay), it should not be treated as a cash advance.

    • The TCN gift cards are another option to get the discount or points offer on Super Cheap Auto however it does not appear on Coles sale on next week.

  • "Limit of 5 cards per day per Rewards Member.", does anyone know if this limit applies to just the same type of Ultimate gift cards bought in one transaction or all types of Ultimate gift cards bought in one transaction? For example, can I get 20x points for all 10 cards if I buy 5 Ultimate Everyone and 5 Ultimate Him in one transaction?

    • +2

It depends on how Everyday Rewards is enforcing the purchase limit for this particular promotion.

For past promotions, you would have earned bonus points on 5x Ultimate Everyone gift cards and 5x Ultimate Home gift cards purchased on the same day using the same Everyday Rewards account (and it did not matter whether you bought them in the same transaction or across multiple transactions).

    • Did you try this? How did it go?

  • I haven't purchased this type of card in store before - can someone tell me what denominations available in store? Thank you.

    • +3

Woolworths appears to sell them in the following eligible denominations, but stock will vary from store to store (especially if you go to a Woolworths Metro instead of a Woolworths supermarket):

      • Ultimate Everyone: $100
      • Ultimate Him: $50, $100
      • Ultimate Home: $50, $100
      • Ultimate Kids: $30, $50
      • Ultimate Teens: $30, $50
      • Ultimate Thanks: $100

Some of these gift cards are also sold in a variable load denomination (where you choose an amount to load onto the gift card), but that is excluded from this deal.

  • Is the One for all at the top just rebranding and these are still the old Ultimate Gift Cards?

  • I bought a Ultimate Him gift card over a hour ago from Woolies, and just tried exchanging it for a JB Hi-Fi e-gift card through their exchange website. But I keep getting a "Sorry there was a problem submitting your order. Please try again. If the issue persists, please get in touch" error.

    Anyone else experiencing this issue?

When I bought and exchanged Ultimate Everyone to JB Hi-Fi e-gift cards this morning the website was working fine.

    • I’m also getting this for an IKEA exchange..

      • +1

@Aceunreal I retried today and it's working again for me. Maybe their system has a limit on number of gift cards that can be exchanged per day for a particular IP address or something.
Try again tomorrow (or maybe even 24 hours), and hopefully the website will work again for you.

  • It seems Lululemon not valid for Ultimate Everyone and Him anymore???

  • I couldn't have the ultimate home works on the pet circle. Anyone is having the same experience?

    • pet circle isnt on the ultimate home (even everyone) list. so of coz it doesnt work.

  • Sorry if its a noob question, but say if I buy Ultimate Everyone, x5, Can I use it directly in JB hifi website ?

    • +3

You cannot directly use 5x Ultimate Everyone gift cards in one transaction on the JB Hi-Fi website, but there is a workaround.

If you have a look at the FAQ page linked at the bottom of the deal description, it has an entry that outlines the workaround for JB Hi-Fi.

  • i was wondering if you can purchase the Ultimate gift cards using Woolworth gift cards?

    • no, you cannot.
