DeWalt 18V Compact Recip Saw DCS369N $189 + $14 Delivery @ Top Tools (Price Beat + Bonus Battery $182.71 @ Bunnings)

220

Currently selling for $269 at Bunnings. At Top Tools it came to $189 + $14 delivery = $203 total.

I got Bunnings to price beat which brought it down to $182. And then they still honoured the instant redemption of the charger and 5ah battery - given this combo is probably worth about $70 on marketplace, makes the cost of the recip saw very attractive.

  • You got a bit lucky there, considering Top Tools are not even an authorised Dewalt dealer.

    • Wasn't even debated by the Bunnings staff. And I fully expected them to beat it. I wasn't aware and can't find reference to competitors needing to be authorised resellers of the product being beaten - but I can see how they would play that card. Hopefully others who are keen have the same luck I did!

      • Yeah, the bunnings staff did not check product properly. It is different model.

  • What Jedi mind tricks did you use to get them to honour the in-store battery redemption on top of this outrageous discount?

    • I just asked if they would. There was a bit of ‘checking’ on some instructions they had relating to the instant redemptions but when they couldn't find anything that said you couldn't stack it, they hounored it no problem.

Maybe I did just get lucky with the particular staff who served me… but worth a shot if you live near a bunnings.

  • Their Dewalt handheld vacuum is only $159. Unfortunately it's sold out :(

  • Was going to drop by my local Bunnings but a check on their website not showing this model, closest I could find was
DeWALT 18V XR Brushless Compact Reciprocating Saw DCS367N-XJ - Bare Unit
Different model number & "special order"

    • Here you go mate:

The store I picked up from (Melville, WA) had plenty of stock left.

      • What is the difference between the models? One ends in XE and the others XJ? When you click on the promo Bunnings doesn't come up as a store selling the XJ version.

        • I think XE vs XJ means region it is sold in. Identical tool by the sounds though. And the Top Tools website refers to it as ‘AU stock’ (not sure why it is the XJ then….)

But it is a good spot and I am sure would be a way for Bunnings to reject the price beat if they wanted to.

          • @Whatnext925: XE is europe I think. XJ is Japan.

Australia usually gets XE stuff. Demystifying dewalt product names is a job in its self.

You can use these to get decent discounts…cough.. can't say too much more

  • I have just checked the box and the model handed to me by Bunnings has ‘XJ’ on it - not XE. The plot thickens!

  • AliExpress sells DeWalt branded reciprocating saws for about $60 delivered and about $45 delivered for unbranded. Anyone know if they are of the same quality?

There 100% fake wouldn’t trust the quality of counterfeit products

Thanks! Just price matched at $203 so total price was $182.71 with instant redemption.

Good timing as my ozito just died.

  • My local also honoured the price beat and promotion.

  • No luck for me today! I could choose: either do the price match or the redemption…. Too bad, seems like you really have to be lucky with Bunnings, there are no consistent rules unfortunately

    • That's really strange. I watched the terminal the whole time the team member put it through, and when he scanned up the saw, it comes up with a pop up reminding them to give you the instant redemption. It's regardless of the price of the saw. I think you got stiffed.

Had online price matched and processed at the store. Even the lady behind the counter mentioned how good of a deal it was.

    • I went into the keperra store and got rejected

  • Anyone know a Bunnings in Brisbane that accepts this deal with the redemption?

    • Virginia finally honoured it. Go the saw for $170 with free battery

  • Not an issue for me at a Bunnings Noarlunga (SA). It is a great size, so very very happy. Also got free battery

  • Bunnings refused to price match as “not authorised reseller”. Matched Amazon at $199 instead but explicitly without redemption.
