Citizen LE Fugu NY0160-66E (Black) or NY0161-63L (Blue) $399 ($374 w/ Signup Bonus) Delivered @ Starbuy

210

A couple of Citizen's popular Fugu series in limited editions with the dive tank box and two straps. These are serious dive watches that are built for the job, with the benefit of being attractive as well. I personally like to black dial with the rose gold accents, but the blue with silver is no slouch. Unfortunately, it looks like they've changed over from sapphire to mineral glass on these (I verified on the Citizen web site), so that may sway some folks. However, some of the size specs have slimmed down a bit, making it more wearable on smaller wrists.

    Mineral Crystal glass

May needs to fix the description. Also why the arms looks 'stubby-ish' to me

Thanks. I copied from an old post and thought I'd changed that.

I'm assuming you're referring to the lugs as being 'stubby'? This is either good or bad depending on your viewpoint. If you want a large watch with presence then this won't fil the bill, but if you've got smaller wrists (e.g. under 7") then the short lugs helps to make it wear smaller without looking overwhelming.

      • Hi , a bit new to watches but this watch looks very nice to me , i have a 7.3 inch wrist and i am wandering if the overall size of the watch wont suit my wrist ?

This will be the most i've spent on a watch haha , just wanted to make sure

        • I think it should be okay. To give you an example, I have a 7 1/4" wrist and I bought the BN0163-00H solar quartz, and it wears just fine despite being slightly bigger diameter at 44mm.

As with most things, if you have the chance to visit a physical store and try it in person that's the best option. For this deal you've at least got the whole weekend to make your mind up.

          • @Chazzozz: Thanks mate , i am sold , just wandering how to get the signup discount - i subscribed to the newsletter yet nothing yet on the coupon code ?

@frozt47: Apparently it can take a little while to appear. Not sure how long, I haven't tried myself.

      • Stubby ok I prefer fence posts or blocky..
These look a lot like some Seikos. Not bad. Better than some Mercedes hand I've seen on citizen

i kind of want this just for the unusual collector's box

    • I wish we could see more elaborate collectors boxes like this. Like how much could it possibly cost extra?

The scuba tanks are cool packaging but in reality they just end up stuffed into a cupboard with all the other watch boxes

      • Yep, the small white Seiko boxes are fine.

  • Bought the black and rose gold as I love the colour combo.

    • That one will look good on you.

Hopefully! I have the green fugu which is a great looking watch. Ordered at 1:30 and received shipping confirmation at 2:52.

        • Haha I've got the green Fugu too. Yes very nice watch.

  • Poison.. Poison.. Tasty fish!
