Any bargains? 10% off only received 5 upvotes so not sure why this is being posted with a measly 5%.

Also this is worse than the last few $100 off $1000 posts.

    • Yet there's pandemonium on here for 5% off gift cards. If this wasn't posted by someone associated, I'd say your neg wasn't reasonable.

The RRP is already quite high, so even with the outlet discount, the final price is still far from appealing.

    Bought 10, thanks.

Just a heads-up about buying from the outlet site. There's no warranty, hidden in T&Cs, on anything, so shop carefully. Plus, once you click buy you're stuck with it because they don't allow cancellations. It's a bit of a risky gamble.

Sounds like a breach of Australian consumer law. It's not 2nd hand.

      • +2

Indeed - I see "quality guarantee" appear on the outlet store website. They shouldn't be displaying that if there's no warranty.

    • You’re most likely referring to change of mind returns. If it’s a defect they have to fix regardless of whatever they say in their T&C

      • I wish that was the case. I bought a recliner in Dec last year in as new condition. I found out basically in half an hr of placing the order that its not covered so i contacted to cancel but they refused. No issues in terms of couch looking good and as new when it arrived but about 2 months ago its back support stopped reclining. The support team basically said not covered but as a goodwill gesture they'll waive off parts cost but i need to pay the technician $120. Not a big deal but still they are pretty confident that their T&Cs apply in this case.

You should have kept repeating ACL and then get your state tribunal xCAT or your credit card chargeback as that is point blank illegal. Not even a grey area but a clear illegal practice.

          • @illusion99: "As is" sales are absolutely allowed by law, if clearly disclosed in advance.

There is a grey, grey area for defects that were not specifically disclosed in advance, and could not reasonably be found with a reasonable inspection at the time of sale.

This mechanism might fall into that, but it absolutely not clear cut in this specific instance.

I agree with the other poster though, the advertisment of a "quality guarantee" opens that door again, regardless of the fine print directing it to the "frame only".

          • @illusion99: UPDATE- They finally agreed to, as a good will gesture, waive off the technician fee as well . Parts are being sent and tech will come to fix the issues for free. :)

Looked at 2 identical Delta two-seaters - despite being identical one listing is 33% more expensive than the other.

5% off incredibly marked up items is a joke. No deal.

  • Same business model as Nick Scali re pricing. High mark up with regular sales offering up to 50% discount. Same as for mattresses and suitcases.

We bought a modular couch off them in 2020. It’s held up okay but the connectors they supplied to keep the different components together are useless. If you set up a King modular couch on hardwood floor, expect to spend a lot of time chasing round the different sections as they drift away.
