  • How do these compare to ghd hair dryers

    • all I know is Parlux ones last forever, from having one passed down to me I think it's about 20 yrs old. it is also big and on the heavy side like this wahl.

it's a bit miserable looking but still dries the quickest. says Made in italy on it not sure if they are the same quality if you buy now.

I heard Ceriotti also makes a drop proof model.

I'm used to the dryer being heavy, but recently am looking at something with a smaller/lighter with high spinning motor, like the dyson, except cheaper. recently the Dreame one was posted for $79.

  • Got a dreame from JB. $149 instead of $400 is more of a bargain, the new style ones are great.

      this one I guess.

looks good and I was willing to spend more than $79 for the other Dreame. but comments seem to suggest the only big difference between the two is the number of claimed ions?

      • No idea, didn't see the post or know about the cheaper one.

        • ok. for some reason other than the oldest post, they didn't get much good deal votes. so just wondering.

for some reason I was weary of the $79 Dreame, just because it seemed too cheap for a good hair dryer. but maybe I am wrong and it will last.

          • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Nah this one, thought good for 149 instead of 400, good reviews. Had some JB vouchers sitting around for a long time.

            • @G-Shock: thanks for following up.

nice, but I think I prefer the compact shape of the lower price Dreame's. $169 one is back down to $79 might give it a try.

              • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Cool. Haven't seen that one, should be cordless if it's compact I assume but sounds good.

                • @G-Shock: no no noway cordless. hairdryers are always 2000W minimum. some old ones like the Parlux WW2 vintage weapon I have are 2400W.

it won't work on a battery. even if dyson did it, it wouldn't have enough battery life.

the only reason it's compact, is they use a smaller but much faster spinning motor in the handle, instead of a bigger slower spinning fan in the head. I assume just by the thinness of design that your one is the same modern design, it just has a longer nozzle on the head.

                  • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Actually looks bigger in the pictures if it's the one on Amazon for $79. I think you pay more for compactness and the folding design.

                    • @G-Shock: yeah it is compact. Dreame Gleam ($79) and Dreame Hair Glory are same dimensions though. but yeah they are a lot more compact than your regular hair dryer. same with the dyson.

  • Shows as $62.00 for me.

Sale finished or am I missing a discount option?

    • +1

finished. there was no coupon. but it will be back just keep checking it.

  • How does it compare to the Remington https://www.amazon.com.au/Remington-D3190AU-Aero-2000-Dryer/… $18.71 on sale
