    I average about 8000 steps a day, mostly walking. And I feel I need a new pair every 6-9month. I can see it's starting to be quite worn by the 6th month, $200 still feel too steep at this rate.

      That's pretty good 6-9months. Shoes generally are good for 600-800km walking mileage, and it would take you about 3-5 months to reach this from walking 8000 steps daily in the same shoes.

      There's a pretty comprehensive review here, that states the outsole durability is slightly better than average. But how many more months that translates to in real world wear is debatable.

    How do these compare with the Ultraboost and Cloudmonster 2 for everyday wear/ walking ?

      more cushy and I feel it's wider on the front, but ultraboost looks better in my opinion and longer lasting. This is ultraboost 1.0.

      More structured to the more modern ultraboosts.

      The cloudmonster will be closer in the rocker. ON has some witchcraft with the holes and how they move you forward when compressed.

    Could potentially price match at Rebel Sport and save more with discounted GCs/cashback. Haven’t tried this personally, but their website says they price match.

    I think the brooks ghost max is a great alternative and I've found the toe box to be wider and better suited to my feet.

    I find NB1080v14 more comfortable, and it is cheaper on sale, around $160-$170.
