New Discovery!!!

When you try to refill your cars oil tank:
The petrol price is so high today? But you have to pick up the gun with no other choices…:(

Ok, now here is something can really help you out!

This Android App can be loaded into your Android Phone & definitely help to save your $$$ which you spend on the petrol continually…..

——-How App works? ——-
1. App will collect the Unleaded Petrol retail price daily (from most of the gas stations)
2. App will calculate the Average Unleaded Petrol retail price daily (base on the data collected)
3. App will turn the Daily Average Price into Diagram which will tell the Price Cycle (go up or down)
4. App will predict the Next Trough Period base on current Price Cycle
5. The Price Cycle of ULP can be adapted to #98/#95/E10 as well, but NOT diesel

——-How To Save Money? ——-
1. Avoid to refill your car's oil tank during the dates falling into the Peak Period of current Cycle
2. Only refill your car's oil tank(as much as possible) when it is the Trough Period of the Cycle

——-Support Area(non-rural) ——-
1. BRISBANE
2. SYDNEY
3. MELBOURNE
4. ADELAIDE
5. PERTH

——-How Much You Can Save ——-
Let's Take Sydney as example:
Last Trough Period was "31/12/2012-05/01/2013" with price around 134c/l
Then the Peak after that happened at "10/01/2013" with price 148c/l
The price difference is 148-134=14c/l
So if you refilled 40L at the Trough instead of the Peak, you could save 14c X 40L=560c=5.6AUD

Above is 1 car 1 refilling only, you can imagine how much you can save for 1 whole year?

Comments

  • Does it work for diesel and can we select specific pumps like bp or caltex only

    • .5. The Price Cycle of ULP can be adapted to #98/#95/E10 as well, but NOT diesel

says it right there in the description…

unless it was an edit by the OP, gosh, I really don't get it when people ask these questions…

      • -2

unless it was an edit by the OP

just above the description theres a "revisions" link that comes up when theres been an edit. it lets you see what was originally posted and who edited it (in the case of mod edits like this post)

but yes, it was in the OP's description. sn809 needs to learn to read first, post dumb questions second :)

        • Thanks for the 101. Did they reject you when you applied to become a mod???

        • would like to post a snarky comment about your level of comprehension but will refrain from doing so.

Why is this not on the Android market? Why should we trust this app?

Not on Android market = much higher risk that it could be a Trojan or other spyware. Why is it not on the market indeed. Very suss, be careful.

    • i assume it would cost you money to put it in the app stores?

but yea i worry about the security of a one off app like this.

      • +1

Nope, but they do take a cut. More importantly they check it for security violations. I wouldn't go anywhere near this.

        • It does cost money ($25) to register a developer account with google, and they take something like 30%, but I don't think there is a whole lot of security screening to be honest - that's one of Android's few weaknesses :(

I love android but honestly, google lets almost any app into the store. It probably screens it a LITTLE for very common spam/scam/etc apps, but unfortunately the only reason it has such a large volume of apps is because the quality is really lacking (anyone with $25 and a computer can submit a "hello world" if they really want to… it just has to not crash!).

Either way, no thanks to random non-play APKs. Maybe from trusted developers on xda, but not here.

      • Good points! People does need to be very careful with the security stuff.

Indeed this app was on the Google play for a while & get hundreds download with good comment, but recently my account ran into troubles and not allowed to upload the apps again, still working with Google regarding this issue:(

The host address aokeee.host22.com looks dodgy as well, coz it's a free hosting service…

Be honestly, all you guys perform quite professional(^0^) I'm just a nobody personal developer, spend my leisure time to develop something for fun, not smart enough to develop something like "Trojan"…who can do those stuff must be a genius:)

Ok, thanks for all your reply anyway, I can see how hard it's for a personal developer now:)

This does NOTHING for your cause. If Google doesn't trust you, neither should anyone else.

        • Any "nobody personal developer" knows what a trojan is, and most aren't even created from scratch. I'm not pointing the finger, I'm just saying it's a little less safe than the play store.

    • I would say no. Plus the host address is very dodgy.

  • Above is 1 car 1 refilling only, you can imagine how much you can save for 1 whole year?

Nothing. I catch a bus to work.

I wouldn't trust it, simply because the screenshots has his Android looking like an iPhone!

Plus, for WA at least, there is already a great FuelWatch in the Google Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.clark.fuel…

    • MIUI Rom mate, if you do a search for MIUI you can see it's the most popular Roms in the world:)

  • By the way, if somebody running a small business & want to experience the advantage of Android Smart Phone, please contact me. Here is one case I did month ago for a friend of my friend:)

1, the guy run a small business
2, he need to deliver stuff to his customer base on orders
3, before he always wrote down everything on the paper so that he remember what he have done
4, I made a small system to let him manage his orders which implemented in his office computer
5, then I developed an Android App, which can communicate with that system via network
6, he only need to bring his phone when he deliver the good to his customers
7, the app on the pone can extract all the order detail(address, qty, price…) from the system in his office
8, then his customer can view all these detail from the phone & sign on the phone to acknowledge he receive the right thing…

Ok, if somebody does need something like this, please contact me, we can go through what you need & what I can do for you… Thanks.

  • I got an error parsing the package when trying to install…??

    • emm…I don't think you are the lucky one, "error parsing the package" did happen once on one of my friend's phone(Google Nexus 4), but the same package can install successfully in lots of HTC & Samsung phone… what I suggest is, re-try again, if with no luck, then sorry mate:(

Consider youself lucky and run while you still can?

  • Where is the Retail Price Data collected from?

    • For the history data(up to yesterday) is from the government department, they monitor the prices. "Today" price collected from most of the gas stations & show the average for all of them. Note, rural area is not included.

      • +2

"Today" price collected from most of the gas stations

Yes, but how? Are you not just scraping Motormouth's data? Unless you've got all these petrol stations to magically provide their prices to you, you're breaching their copyright.

Please be aware that all MotorMouth petrol pricing data is covered by copyright and is only available for news purposes. Your use of MotorMouth petrol pricing is conditional on the MotorMouth URL www.motormouth.com.au being shown as the data source at all times.

        • Good job @Kabigon.
looks like OP is using scrapping from the same website and now deleted the post.

  • +1

nice work trying to delete it… but this is the internet you cant delete anything :)

  • where can i get this app?

    • +1

It has been pulled. I don't recommend looking for it.

  • oh shit, ok so it was worked out from his posts this was probably at best a bit dodgy and probably not likely to be trustworthy….. so i did a bit of detective work (ok, i just googled his email address).. at the bottom of his www.aokeee.host22.com homepage

    Copyright © 2013 www.aokeee.host22.com All Rights Reserved.
    Email: [email protected]

    googling came up with

    http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57488753-1/olympics-rela…

with his email addy associated with it.

WARNING PEOPLE, THIS IS MALWARE/PHISHING SCAM.

  • In that case, what happens to the developer / poster? Shouldnt there be warnings about the email address and also his account get banned so he cant do anymore on ozB?

  • Hi there, wondering if this app will be available again as it is brilliant. It no longer works and I miss it :(
