I just got charged $106 for 2 cases of the rusty cigar, despite getting a message that the 2 for 1 offer was applied to my cart. I assume you're refunding me $45 right?

    • Hi roadwreck, I think you have misunderstood. It's BUY 1 GET 1 FREE… that's 2 cases in total (24 bottles). So that's actually $90 (+delivery) which equates to $3.75 per bottle.

If you're not happy with the deal, i'm happy to refund you. No need to neg us :(

huh? each case is $45 so that should be $45 + $8 + $8 (for the extra 'free' case) = $61. the instructions on the website said to take advantage of the offer that I needed to add two cases to the cart and I would only be charged for one. So after following the instructions I was still charged $106. I pushed 'pay' because I figured the system would work it out in the transaction process - especially as the screen flashed me a message saying the 2 for 1 had been applied. then I got a receipt/invoice for $106.

Appreciate if you could pop the $45 back on my cc. i've pm'd you with a reference to the order number.

  • Hi roadwreck… we've clearly specified in the deal above that it was 2 cases for $90 + delivery or $3.75 per bottle x 24.

We do our best to try to make everything as clear as possible for our customers. My apologies if it wasn't clear enough and you completed checkout… our cart would have confirmed the total amount on numerous occasions before you made payment.

Again, if you're unhappy and don't want the deal, we can refund you the whole amount - no issue.

    • well when i put one case into my cart it said $45 (not $90) + $8 shipping, then I added another (as per the instructions on the deal) and it went up to $106. I now see that you've stated on the page that a case is $90 and that each bottle is $7.50. My conclusion is that you're inflating the price of the wine and selling it as a BOGOF. So where's the deal?

Appreciate if you could please refund the whole amount.

  • Do yourself a favour Winebros and put "equates to " in the title. I thought the same as roadwreck.

  • " we've clearly specified in the deal above that it was 2 cases for $90 + delivery or $3.75 per bottle x 24."

You also say two cases for the price of one. The customer purchases two cases and should only be getting charged for one. It's not that difficult. If you are charging by the bottle at a cheaper rate, specify that and don't add that you are getting anything for "Free" when you aren't.

    • Thanks for all the comments… We've now reworded the deal - hopefully it's very clear now :)

      • Still says buy one get one free in the title.

  • Hi all, after roadwrecks's comments, we've made amendments on the site to clarify the deal. Have added "equates to" where required and fixed the cart to clearly show $90 per case on checkout.

It's definitely been a learning curve with the new website and cart system. That's why every comment and suggestion counts, hence our best efforts to make changes when necessary!

Unfortunately with the title, there's limited characters… will do my best to make it clear.

You've got to wonder about the quality considering it costs $1.92 for a bottle and screw cap. The actual wine is cheaper than the bottle it comes in. Plus I'm not even factoring in alcohol excise and GST. Jezz.

    • LOL and the names they come up with for some of these wines are just plain tacky/ill conceived.
