Pocket Handheld Camcorder ...Help Please

Greetings from nearly a Perth Dinosaur when it comes to technology.

I have a grandie arriving so I'm wanting a Handheld Pocket Camcorder.

Nothing fancy, nothing over $200.

With a SD card so I can poke into the tv and watch.

I love the hold in 1 hand style and fit in a pocket.

Also my daughter is wanting a Kodak pixpro fz55 but wants to buy from a in person store so can easily return if something goes wrong. Cheapest I see is Jb Hifi $215. Can you see any cheaper in Perth, WA. Thank you

        Sure you probably can do that but It's superfluous.
        Just cast the screen to your tv.

    probably looking for something like DJI osmo pocket. they definitely aren't cheap though.

    try searching for "DJI osmo pocket budget alternative".

    Phones with high quality video recording have killed this product segment.
    The only video cameras are either high end, expensive, or cheap and very junky.
    Maybe a second hand Go Pro or similar?
    Or ask around if a friend has an old digital camera that also shoots video? Or maybe you already have one you haven’t thought about using for video?

    Just get a cheap action cam (GoPro clone) and a handle for it.

    I do have an old Panasonic mini dvd recorder but don't have a dvd player. I also have no battery charger for it. Lost the chord

    Ok can I just ask… Why do you want a physical camcorder? Why does your daughter want a digital camera that would be no better than a iPhone or Samsung camera?

      So I want to take lots of video and didn't want to use up space on my pixel 8 phone.

      And my daughter thought a digital camera would take better pics.
      She has a iPhone.

    budget DJI alternative seems to be Feiyu pocket. still expensive for the size but less than half the price of Osmo pocket.

    another option Fimi palm.

    you could also consider the action cam models of Feiyu and Fimi if they are cheaper, and as other comment said just buy a $5 handle for it.

    I think the battery is bigger in DJI pocket shape design.
