For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA

I was there 3000 years ago

  • @Clear ,
Thanks for this deal, as I was kind of looking for something 'cheap', even though I favour portable OLED monitors for the eyes.
( I have an Asus Zenscreen but they ain't cheap! )

Do you know of any deals or something 'cheap' for a portable DUAL-monitor setup ?
I just need that little bit of screen real-estate, in a tight-space, and a Zenscreen Dual is AU$ 1000 !!

  • Thanks OP. Bought it (exactly $74.94 as in title) though I didn't need it. Comforts me knowing I was shafted on the Amazon deal.

The AliExpress website is pretty horrid btw

I have 1, its pretty good. make sure you get a separate stand

I still had some USD in revolut so used that to pay. I'll have to remind myself next time revolut is not half as good as wise, but anyway.
Revolut took all money from my aud balance rather than using the USD that was still in my account (and I checked, it was charged in USD to my revolut).
I thought it would do like wise: take USD and remainder from another balance.

From people that have bought this recently, I got 1, and it was great, unfortunately I broke it, the second was fine but even with external power was extremely dim.

    How are the current batches?

This panel is exactly the same height as my 14.5" Lenovo so works as a perfect second screen.

    • even with external power was extremely dim

Ah, that's always a bummer that you gotta watch out for with the cheapies. Dim screen=trash

      • It's a shame as the first one was legitimately great, I just managed to knock it off a desk and it smashed.

I only see the EU plug option. Is that right or am I missing something?

    • I also only saw EU plug option. Hopefully someone can confirm that these ship with AU plug.

    • +2

I can’t recall what plug it came with, but I’ve only ever used it with a single usb-c from my laptop so not had to worry about powering it separately if that helps

      • Good to know. I'll comment here again when I receive it to confirm the plug.

  • It showed $67.57 to me.

    • That is the pre-tax price

  • Order error on multiple devices. Has this ended?

  • just ordered one, forgot to change to USD and it was $77 delivered.

the link in the deal didn't work, I used below link which I had bookmarked earlier.

If only it was touch, looking for a Home assistant control panel for the hallway

    • no touch?

    • +4

      Get the SFZ 14" touch

      Currently $43 USD

      • Gee these have dropped price since last posting

      • Will this work better just to control/monitor cctv box? Have limited space on my shelf is my only requirement

      • Will the difference in resolution be noticeable? 2160x1440 for this deal and 1920x1200 for the touch one.

      • I'm after the touch version too… but no longer at this price…. damn!

    • Get an old ipad from FB marketplace!

      • Will it work? Just need cable to transform it to a monitor? I have old ipad pro (1st gen)

        • I meant for a home assistant control panel. But your can use it for a second screen using Splashtop and a usb cable. Old iPad resolutions are pretty crap though but they work as a second screen.

      • Nah, i have a few iPads. I was after a larger screen.

  • +2

My panel from 1-2yrs ago has weird splotches.

  • This work on the iPhone usb-c? “PD passthrough charging”

  • +1

Showing as US $55.71 (pre-tax). Might be over?

    • for me too! :(

  • +1

I take it this has display with "DisplayPort/DP Alt-Mode" usb-c ports? Iirc, you gotta be careful, not all usb-c ports support display over cable.

Idk, i'm inclined to think i'd want a portable monitor capable of wireless display.

    • +2

Yeah you need to make sure your phone or laptop supports video over USB C.

  • Hi all, can I use it in the car? How can I connect power cable in tge car?

    • i like your thinking, but how can you make it car play? it just display, if you connect to an Android smart connecto,r i think there are lagging.

      • I want to use in the car then connect my phone, I watch YouTube or Netflix while I park?

Can it connect to portable battery?

        • Sounds like a lot of work you need to do. u can, you can even hook up to your car battery.

          • @nng526: oh no if need to connect to car battery, too much for me thank you for your reply anyway

  • price get even cheaper now.US $43.43

    • Shows USD$57.15 for me but good if you can get it

      • nah, they jack price up just now, i was thinking buy a ducted fan together… too bad, should buy straightway.

      • US $55.28 for me now….

  • Any good accessories / cases to go with this?

  • price dropped again, buy now!US 43.43

  • can anyone recommend a good travel case for this ?

    • +1 on recommended case
And recommendation for a proper stand.
I ordered 2 stands via temu but not sure if they will be better until I've tried them.
