Apple MacBook Pro M3 14": 8GB/512GB $1494, 8GB/1TB $1694 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ OnePass/ C&C/ In-Store) @ Officeworks

290

Another M3 Deal.

Not the highest specs, but a great value pick for most people. You get the power of the M3 chip, a great mini-LED display (much better than the Air’s), and a solid all-round experience—especially at this price.

512GB
1TB

The 8gb reaaally makes this a hard sell over the 13" the MBA M4

    • Agree for some users, but I think it's decent for most lightweight users that still want the Pro screen. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I use it for dev work and it's been fine as most things now are cloud-based.

The 16gb is already limiting that the 8gb just rolls over the "Pro" name. Not even "Pro" graphics designers could work much with this despite the better screen.

Yep, wouldn't buy it if it's for lots of heavy local (on the PC) multi-tasking.
          Low-medium loads - it's pretty great.

I think it pretty much would be perfect for someone who is looking at the Macbook Air but wants the better screen.

        • 8gb is terrible and is just a lie.

          16gb is bare minimum 2017

I got the 24gb m4 air now and honestly this should be the bare minimum these days.

yes, mac osx is good at ram handling, but watch that swap file memory pressure go yellow like no tomorrow

      • Do you mean like now the cloud takes the load rather than your own computer?

        • Yep, if it's a cloud run software. Eg: Canva, Google Docs etc.

  • Looks like the website is down for maintenance atm, hopefully back up in the morning.

    • Website is now back up.

i skimped out and bought an air m1 8gb back then and it was a very negative experience.

i get people have different use cases and allat but imo nowadays 8gb should only be seen on a phone

8GB Intel MB Pro was a big no for me in 2020. Not sure whether M3 makes any big difference, but we are in 2025 too

One thing I dislike about Apple is that everything is closed loop.

If one component fails, you effectively have a paperbrick.

    Recently got a 24gb m3 15 inch air for 1699, I find 16gb to be struggling already

  • 8GB of ram? can that even load facebook?

    Nothing Pro about 8GB….

I’m looking forward about the comments about how extra special and efficient unified RAM is.
