$159 one also on sale. have no idea what the difference is.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DJ8ZS766

ok seems like the $159 one has built in 32GB eMMC storage, and needs BYO microSD card. says "real 4K" so probably uses 4K sony sensor (buyer should confirm first).

$139 comes with 64GB microSD card.
I heard you don't really want to use the microSD that comes with these because they are likely cheap normal cards, not endurance microSD cards.

both having capacitor. two users told me capacitor is for aussie heat, and also to provide power after you turn the car off to save video. not sure which is true or both.

for anyone who wants to hear about DDPAI brand, a comment on the ddpai I posted long time ago (with 4K sony sensor) said they installed many DDPAI and never had a customer come back with issues. seems like the most reliable of budget brands.

I read a couple negative comments on deals for other random budget dashcam brands sold on amazon, they said either they check the video on their microSD and it's corrupted unplayable, or the camera started to randomly restart on it's own while driving.

The DDPAI Z50 Pro comes with a hard wire kit, No idea if the Z60 does. Also the Z50 Pro RRP costs more.

      Z60 -37% $159.99 RRP: $255.00

      VS

      Z50 Pro -53% $139.99 RRP: $299.99

      • the Z50 Pro RRP costs more.

ok good catch I didn't see that.

        • I'm guessing the extra stuff you get like hard wire kit and SD card is why the Z50 Pro costs more.
Also the microSDcard that comes with the Z50 Pro is fine to use until you can get a better one for long term reliability.

            @vid_ghost: makes sense.
Z60 Pro probably would be more expensive than $159 and come with hard wire kit.

I read eMMC storage is also a level up in flash memory compared to the flash in USB drives and normal microSD (endurance microSD is probably equal - and replaceable). but eMMC flash is still below what they use in SSD.
but 32GB of eMMC storage is not enough. the previous DDPAI that I found and posted also used 64GB eMMC built in, but when I heard that would only be 2 hours of 4K video stored, and there was no microSD slot on that older model I thought it was better to stop posting it.

at least the newer Z60 comes with microSD slot. so that is a improvement.

      • I am leaning towards the Z50 Pro, however description says "(requires a hardware kit, ASIN: B0DP639X2D, not included)."

Have you ordered this camera before? If so, did it arrived with hardwire kit?

        • I'm just going by what the user reviews have said… The one I've ordered comes in tomorrow so i'll know by then

I ordered and received this last week. No hardwire kit included (as per listing description)

            @quop: Thank you quop,

I will order a hardwire kit too.

    • When i take out the 256gb High endurance Sandisk microSDcard card from my 3 year old $39 DDPAI dashcam all the video's are there and time stamped :) makes it pretty easy to find the right video using my PC

      • from my 3 year old $39 DDPAI dashcam all the video's are there and time stamped :) makes it pretty easy to find the right video using my PC

thanks that is useful I didn't know.

I'm actually not in need of a dashcam, but a family member was considering one awhile ago and after doing all research and reading feedback I recommended DDPAI to them. seems to not have been a must for them though since I think they still haven't purchased one. more of a just in case I guess.

        • My sister just wasted 10k on legal fee's because she didn't have a dash cams.. Dashcams are a must these days. This one I've ordered is going to her. My 3 year old one still works fine.

Anyone find any info about the recording fps?

  • +2

The DDPAI Z60 dash cam offers both 30fps and 60fps recording options. The front camera can record at 4K resolution at 30fps or at 3K resolution at 60fps

The DDPAI Z50 is limited to 25fps for both the front and rear cameras, regardless of the chosen resolution

@T 60FPS 4k. The Z60 would fill up a 256GB SD card within a day or two and overwrite it the following day or two
Its not a useful dash cam when it's overwriting data in such a short window of time. The The Z50 is more useful with small recording file sizes.
Both however do have snapshots for when there is a collision they will save the file as read only that can not be overwritten

For practical use the Z50 is good but for creating youtube dashcam videos the Z60 is the better option

Thanks for that. Bought Z50 Pro.

        Z60 4K resolution at 30fps 3K at 60FPS (front) Z60 1080P resolution at 30fps (Rear)
        Z50 4K resolution at 24fps (front) Z50 1080P resolution at 24fps (Rear)

Not much difference really, Z60 3K resolution at 60fps is good if you wanted to do something other prove your not at fault in an accident. :)

I ended up buying this to go along with the Z50 Pro
SanDisk High Endurance microSDXC Card, 256 GB $37.99

No worries. :) You have 30 days to return it anyways if its not whats needed

  • Hi all, thanks for the OP. Just bought one.

So do I need two hardwire kits as there's two cameras?

    Thank you.

    • +1

No, the back camera connects to the front camera that also provides the power. 1 hard-wire kit that is connected to the front camera is enough.

      • Thank you for the response. Do you have a link for the hardwire kit at all? I don't have OBD2 as it's an old car so I believe I need the other kit.

        • All you need is a cigarette lighter outlet for both cameras to work.

A hard wire kit will unlock the 24 hour parking moniter option as the camera will stay powered up when the car is not running.

    • I will know more when mine comes in today

  • All these comments about specs and other crap… does anyone have this cam and can verify anything? Reliability? Can it work 24/7 without overheating? Is the picture quality any good? I bought similar no name brand some time ago from 70mai brand and it's all good only paper…

My Z50 Pro just arrived along with another 256gb High endurance Sandisk microSDcard.. is it any good?.. No idea.. it could be crap but it does have a higher the average Amazon rating so i'm leaning towards it should be fine for what it is..

This Z50 Pro and my old DDPAI MINI PRO Dash Cam both have super capacitors (No Batteries) .. so they don't overheat or have any issues with heat. My CAR is an over in the Sydney summer sun. Hasnt effected the DDPAI MINI PRO dash cam at all

There is a 30 day money back on Amazon..its pretty easy to return things.

  • Does not come with hard wire kit..

The USB cables are long enough to tuck around the channels of the dash or ceiling for the rear camera :) i just have a it dangling

  • DDPAI have an age old issue with Macs, once you remove the SD card from these dashcams, they cannot be read or played on a mac….so if you own a mac, you gotta sit in the car and wait for the footage to finish transmitting…
