Seems like a decent deal.
Looks like it delivers to all major mainland cities but does cost to get it to Perth.

Exact my thought
Looking for a 75" at some point - ideally around $1500, but could stretch to $2k. Is this wortwhile?
yes
I’d wait a bit. I got my 75” C855 for $1700 in October last year. C8K is this years equivalent.
I'm tossing up if I should keep waiting. I don't have a 4k TV but looking to be ready for the increased nbn tiers later in the year.
Netflix suggests a minimum of 15 Mbits for 4K, and YouTube suggests a minimum of 20 Mbps; NBN is already "ready" for 4K.
From my experience even 100 mbits isn't enough to reliably stream 4k without buffering, though I don't stream on Netflix.
@ginormousgiraffe: I think you have other problems if you can’t do it on 100 without buffering. Just saying 100 isn’t the whole picture, other factors come into play.
I got my 75" c8k for $2300 delivered by just chatting to jb sale staff in store and asking for the best price. I reckon might have been able to go lower if I had pushed for it.
Saved more with gift cards too.
I have the 85 inch version of this TV, and it's brighter than my future…even at 70% brightness and contrast, holy hell the black levels are DEEP!!
10/10
Agreed, but the picture quality is disappointing imho
I would say it's quite good to be honest. it's only slight weakness is HD upscaling from 720p or worse, something Sony does best.
Can you elaborate?
For me it looks quite pixelated, even with 4k content. The smoothing technology also struggles sometimes and some patterns seem to flicker. I'm coming from a C835 that performed better. They did improve black levels though.
Not really trying to encourage a price hike but a part of me wishes they made it $2025 just for fun
