I have been on the hunt for a 4k Oled monitor for a while now. This current gen samsung was out of stock on their website for a long time and the previous gen was the only one listed.

Matches the previous ATL.

But, feel free to let me know if there's another 32" 4k oled 240hz flat screen from any other brand that's lower. Haven't been able to find anything yet.

      The size is infinity

      • It's adjustable for your viewing pleasure.

    • Done.
Thanks for pointing it out chief!

    • so if I trade in a 19 inch CRT monitor that is worth like 10 bucks they will give me 100 bucks trade in?

      • Thats what I did in previous deal.

I have a CoolerMaster Tempest GP27U its a 4k 160hz HDR 1000, IPS, p3 98% mini LED monitor brightness is up to 1200 nits too. i think I paid 999 on special for this beginning of the year. But main is more for video editing more than gaming. But its amazing at both for sure. I wonder if this samsung has p3 of 98%?

    • 99.7% P3 according to RTings

yeah I checked its not a P3 colour Gamut , and its only HDR 400 which is not real hdr the samsung monitor also also has a terrible brightness level for the price it doesnt' have the features my monitor has apart from a 240hz refresh rate another think I noticed it doesn't have a usb c connection like my coolermaster has as well. I have HDMI, displayport and usb c connections.

        • It covers close to 100% DCI-P3 and 95% of AdobeRGB.

The Samsung monitor has HDR400 TrueBlack, with proper true blacks and no blooming whatsoever. The GP27U has decent HDR but the blooming is pretty ghastly.

@twister292: anything under HDR 1000 isn't real HDR if you want accurate HDR you need atleast 1000 nits of brightness anything under of that is not accurate at all. I haven't seen any blooming since the last firmware update. so maybe its fixed.

        • The Samsung is OLED panel so obviously has weak brightness, apart from that everything from this Samsung is better than the GP27U, hence the higher price.
GP27U is a great monitor and serves you well. No need to downplay the Samsung monitor like that.

@Elquines: well I Need a monitor that was a good gaming monitor and also good HDR creative video editing monitor. in 4k, with accurate colours, this seemed to be the best option at the time when i got this. service 2 purposes pretty well.

            • @kungfuman: I had the GP27U. The firmware bugs even 2 years on from release are infuriating.

              • -1

@twister292: yeah I got it this year so I don't' have these problems they seems to have worked out there firmware issues.

        • I'd say a monitor with bad contrast ratio/local dimming wouldn't be considered real hdr.

          • -1

@JerraJones: haven't had these issues at all in the latest firmware updates. so no sure what you mean, when i run this in HDR it runs at full brightness the colours are quite accurate.

  • Fully glossy or it's a pass, all these matte finish qd-oleds seem like some sort of a gimmick, something in between IPS and actual oled like you have on LG tvs. It's like IPS 1.5

  • tip: use hdmi cable not the dp one.
