2.99 per month
One roll per month. Still a bargain though.
Waiting for the eventual anime ban
Ban for what?
It's a cynical remark with all the ban on fringe internet hobbies happening around the world. Regardless of how PG/non-fanservice an anime is, the cynicism here is that it still gets banned.
You got a loicense for that Anime mate? - Albo
Been a regular user for about 3 years now on the annual plan. Heavy anime watcher - but there's a lot that it misses out on, taken by competing streaming services for broadcasting rights.
There is some slight competition from the major streaming services and their anime sections but Crunchyroll still takes the cake for getting most of the good stuff on their platform. Still pretty much the fastest turnaround time for simulcast seasons.
Call of the night is on HIDIVE but not CR. so I VPN to Japan on Amazon prime video.
What fillings do they have?
I'm hoping for crispy pork.
Banh Mi?
Says that I've already enjoyed a free trial, but I know that I haven't.
So that's a no from me.
Yep I would be a returning customer and it’s not working for me either
Mine said that, I backed out, went back into it and it worked…
Visiting the link a second time worked, thanks!
My subscription ended today and this worked for me, thanks
I got the same message but it also had a link to "check out their great plans", from there it had the 2.99 option. Signed up, now the hard part is choosing what to watch
Great way to watch a lot of anime, sub renews annually each year for about AUD 13 from Lebanon.
Same, barely use it, maybe once a month but still worth it for $13 a year lol
Did you just use a VPN for the initial sign up and it autorenews at the labanon rate?
Would like to know if this is the case as well. You don't need a card/address from Lebanon?
From what I read you need a postcode and just to use a VPN for initial payment set up.
@deeeno: Hey, i just tried to signup using nordvpn via lebanon but its still giving me au prices. Did i miss any step?
Subbed recently.
There is an overwhelming number of demon and high school themed shows, for highschoolers and young adults perhaps.
I must say I struggle to find anything to watch, as a not-so-young adult. I ended up watching Saint Seiya out of nostalgia.
Does anyone have anything good and recent to recommend?
There's a Light Novel that just got turned to an anime that's pretty good called Lord of the Mysteries. Are you looking for something good that is easy to watch or something more heavy?
Gachiakuta is new and i think its pretty good.
I will give those two a go.
Yeah, looking for something more mature and "heavy" I suppose. Ghost in the Shell or Akira type of shows. Not completely silly like a highschooler wielding a pet with a chainsaw for a head to kill demons…
If you’ve not watched attack on titan it’s my all time fav. Horror action themes but amazing story.
As tmg316 says above, Attack on Titan is simply must watch.
Keeping with the GitS/Akira theme look for Psycho Pass.
@faustianOzbargainer: +1 AOT
I will toss in
* Vinland Saga
* Suzume
and if sports anime is your thing
* Haikyu
My reco
-Terror In Resonance - start is a bit up and down but good overall
-Psycho pass - haven't actually watched past season 1 but dark/psychological
-Ergo proxy - Not sure this is on crunchy roll anymore?? Dark/end of days sort of show
Good luck
@Telios: psycho pass was a lowkey disappointment after season 1/2 i didn't mind season 2 but season 1 was better.
Recommending some anime that hasn't been recommended yet:
ID:Invaded, Magatsu Wahrheit, ACCA 13, Boogiepop
You have to wade through so much crap to get to anything decent. I'm just watching old Mobile Suit Gundam stuff and will probably cancel it after I'm done
for a recommendation: Mononoke - supernatural horror with a unique art style
That's why I cancelled.
The bizarre obsession with 1000 types of isekai animes.
And the 20 word long titles of absolute garbage.
Steins:gate
Odd Taxi. 1 season. 13 episodes. It's a drama about a taxi driver in Tokyo who's a walrus. I'll leave it at that.
Frieren - Beyond Journey's End. Slow burn but a nice watch. Demon Slayer is still worth a watch (despite having demons). If you can get past the anime tropes and work your way up to the Mugen Train movie, it's worth it.
Ranking of Kings
JJK, ReZero, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho, A Place Further than the Universe, Solo Levelling, The apothecary diary, grand blue, Frieren, SteinGate, delicious in dungeon, Dangers in my heart, my happy marriage, Mushoku Tensei, Silent Voice, Your name, Hero X, Super Cube
Vivy-Fluorites Eye Song for some Bladerunner/Terminator-esque futurism/existentialism. And songs and probably more /s.
If you don’t immediately recoil at a High School setting then Assassination Classroom.
All in subs of course. If you’re watching dubs then you’re doing it wrong. Unless it’s DB or Ghost Stories….
….Oh boy Ghost Stories. Watch the dub right now. Thank me for the advice later.
Edit: looks like you’re of the vintage that Cowboy Bebop will mean something to you, in which case watch Samurai Champloo.
Haha…. cool. I've added to the watchlist Eye Song, Ghost Stories and Samurai on the strength of your recommendation. Cheers.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. This thread has proven more fruitful than some of the reddits on Crunchyroll.
I have created a watchlist called "OzB" and added pretty much most shows recommended here to give it all a ago. Should last me a few months and a few longhaul plane journeys.
Cheers.
Did you try one piece?
Also My Hero Academia, yes they are in high school but the story is not typical high school story
Try Death Parade
still got the afghanistan crunchyroll, just recently auto renewed for $19 AUD for the whole year.
Same but was $13.76 for me.
ill take it either way it's really cheap
2 months free with xbox gamepass ultimate.
Can you get the free trial and then the $2.99/month after?
I've still got 1 and a half months left on my $0.99c prime sale crunchy roll sub
Or free.

We are already subscribed via the normal Australia server. Can we still get this deal? Do we need to first cancel?
You possibly able to sign up using new email.
Unless you trying to keep your watchlist and whatever it is under one account
