Where can I use AmpolCash?

• You can also check your store receipt for the remaining balance. Any remaining balance is forfeited upon expiry.

• AmpolCash cannot be used to purchase gift cards, tobacco products and any other product exclusion where AmpolCash cannot be used as a payment method.

    I don't think so.

    • Section 4 of the gift card conditions of use (linked in the deal description) says that AmpolCash cannot be used to pay for AmpCharge sessions.

    • I think the only way you can pay for an AmpCharge sessions is via the Ampol app. it looks like AmpolCash cannot be added to the Ampol app as a payment method.

  Cheers OP. Thought this wasn't worth the effort then realised it's actually saving about $11c/L. Easy to add the QR codes as a card in Supercards (Stocard replacement after Klarna screwed it) … will test it tomorrow.

    I add them to my Apple wallet app so it keeps track of how much is left on the gift card. Does Supercards do this?

      It doesn't have those smarts … essentially just a dumb wallet for storing barcodes and QR codes, but you can add manual notes. Great for loyalty cards but i thought it'd streamline using these as well.

    It depends on the type of Ampol service station you have in mind. For example:

    • At Ampol Foodary (and the Ampol at Exmouth), you can redeem AmpolCash Digital gift cards in-store in conjunction with the Woolworths fuel discount offer¹ and/or one Ampol discount offer (e.g. NRMA, Toyota, APOD). (I did that myself last week.) You cannot stack AmpolCash Digital gift cards with any discounts when paying via FuelPay on the Ampol app, because Ampol does not accept AmpolCash gift cards as a payment method on that app.

    • At EG Ampol, you can redeem AmpolCash Digital gift cards in-store in conjunction with the Woolworths fuel discount and/or the in-store spend offer and/or a partner discount (e.g. Origin Energy, RACV).² You cannot stack AmpolCash Digital gift cards with any discounts when paying via Pay At Pump on the EG Club app, because EG does not accept AmpolCash gift cards as a payment method on that app.

    • At other Ampol-branded service stations operated by other independent operators, it will depend on the rules set by those operators. For example, Ampol service stations operated by Bennett's Petroleum (TAS) previously did not allow you to stack AmpolCash gift cards with a fuel discount offer, but this changed around the time they started offering a 6c/L discount to RACT members at participating service stations.

    1. The Ampol in Exmouth and most Ampol Foodary service stations do not accept the Woolworths fuel discount offer. ↩

    2. The terms and conditions for the Rest Super partner discount says it cannot be redeemed in conjunction with AmpolCash, but I strongly suspect their checkouts do not actually enforce this. ↩

  If approved, the deal is set to be completed by mid-2026.
