OnePass Can't Even Deliver Shoelaces

So I signed up to OnePass because I wanted to stop using Amazon, and figured I could get a lot of the stuff I need from Bunnings, KMart and Target.

But in my Bunnings cart I have 4 x double adapters, and 2 x boot laces. Yet they are not eligible for free postage because "…items in your cart exceed parcel size"!

This order is not eligible for free delivery, items in your cart exceed parcel size. Learn more

They want to charge me $50 postage for this!!!

I was shocked from the start, but I thought it must be the rotary tool - already this should be easy to deliver.

So I kept removing things until it was only the double adapters and boot laces, and still, $50 postage.

Where is the free postage Bunnings/OnePass?!?!?!?

  • Sounds like an item/s have been configured incorrectly for weight/dimensions

I'm wondering if it's because laces are too small rather than too large. That, incorrect volumetrics, or some mighty large laces. If I was just ordering nothing but a single pair of laces I could understand, but…

      • Yeah I’m thinking a keying error

One time one of the warehouse guys at my work was supposed to enter 70g as weight, ended up typing 7000gm

Parcel size error, calculated on laces' length?

    • The shoe laces got tied up in the process

  • You really think Wesfarmers can out-Amazon Amazon?

No. I just have an ethical objection to many of Amazon's practices.

No one else would have built a distribution network like Amazon. If it weren't for Amazon we'd still be taking it for granted that shoelaces have a seven dollar delivery fee and a one week delivery time.

I get what @bteq is saying.Every action has an equal and opposite…..etc.

Bezos aint no saint. Amazon aint no charity.

We would probably be just picking them up next time we're at the shops or forking out a dollar or two premium for the convenience of getting them at the grocery shop.

  • what item was it

Given the items selected are "oversize" it is tempting to avail yourself of the 2hr free trailer offer to get your stuff home.

Where is the free postage Bunnings/OnePass?!?!?!?

Bunnings is the WORST for shipping, it seems like nothing is avaiable for shipping.

Once ordered 4 bags of garden mulch as Onepass member. Said too heavy for home delivery. Split the order into 2 orders of 2 bags each.. They were accepted and 4 bags delivered at same time.

  • This is hilarious, but maybe you should email Bunnings or OnePass and complain about your dissatisfaction with your subscription when it costs $25 to ship shoe laces.

  • Just use Amazon, it'll be cheaper and quicker.

  • The quality of the data in the Bunnings product database is atrocious. You'll often see stupid stuff, like it takes two people to carry a light bulb because it weighs 75kg! Only out by a factor of 1,000!

  • This reminds me of Kogan one's free delivery…until you enter a non-metro postcode.

One pass is hit and miss and as a result would not pay full price for it, but have used either free or half price.

Kogan will never be paid 1c for.

  • I have checked Bunning's postage price via Onepass a few times and it always seems to charge $50. So I give up and go to buy it in store. Onepass is a pass.

  • Shoelaces may fall under health and safety risk?

Customer so unhappy with their shopping experience with this mob that they use the shoelaces to hang themselves.
