ATL for the latest in this brilliant series! Been waiting for it to drop below $10 but this is close enough :) One of the first game I ever played on the Amiga 500.
Soon you'll be wearing my sword like a shish kebab!

How appropriate. You fight like a cow!
I’m gonna crush you like a grape
Look behind you! A three-headed monkey!
I am rubber, you are glue!
You fight like a cow

Ahoy
One of the best games! I played this as a kid and replayed on and off some times in highschool. I could never finish it without reading hints from walkthroughs, though. Did anyone finish the game (hardest level) just by yourself?
Certainly. Grew up in the late 80s and early 90s so have been raised on adventure games. The only time i needed a hint was in Police Quest 1 when needing to call Marie a taxi. How the hell is anyone outside of the US going to know the number to call directory assistance??!!
Don't know anyone that got the rumplestiltskin riddle in Kings Quest.
I also got stuck right at the start of Leisuresuit Larry - KEN SENT ME
11 year old me managed well with Lucasarts but not quite so well with Sierra
Took me a while to work out the password in the 2013 Leisuresuit Larry reloaded version. It was still written down, just not as graffiti
This is the new one that came out less than 3yrs ago. It carries on from the second game but it's best played after all the others as it has things in it that already happened from those games.
Is this game any good?
I'm suspicious this is a bit given your username, but I'll answer sincerely anyway probably for others. It's not the best of the series, but for $10 it's a no-brainer. It offers the series ending Ron Gilbert (initial series creator) imagined back in the 90s, reframed for a now middle-aged fanbase.
If you're a big fan of the first two games it'll resonate.
I was anticipating your comment haha
Woof
Shittest ending ever. Other than that, good game.
Was a bit of an anit-climax
Maybe look at Leisure Suit Larry then :o)
It's the same thing that happened with Gilmore Girls and How I Met Your Mother (not things I like - just comparable examples). It's often really bad when a creative has an unwavering vision of how they'd have ended something, even thought that something had evolved in the interim. When they go ahead and deploy their original zinger like 20 years later it almost always goes down like a fart in a car.
Great game - absolute steal at 10 bucks (and yeah the ending isn't great - but rest is really good).
Tell me about Loom
Made me LOL
Overall a pretty worthy successor to the og two games - down to the revamped Monkey Island location of game one.
Shit ending
$14.59 for DRM-free on GOG. Which is not necessarily the OzBargain way, but I think I might pay the extra $3.64 out of… dunno, spite?
It’s a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle.
Amiga memories, love em!!
