Was on the search for a new TV after my 50" LG plasma finally carked it after 14 years!
This seems like a great price ($400 cheaper than JB and TGG sale price). Managed to get it for $1040.25 with RAC membership too.

Hows TCL these days compared to mainstream brands such as Sony/Samsung/LG? Last time I purchased a TV (Sony) was 6 years ago, TCL were subpar.

I just had a new C8K 65" returned as it rattled like a tin can from the sub woofer in the back from minute one.
with the same panel tech ( Mini OLED/ QLED), the big brand will charge you a lot more. what makes TCL subpar is the chips that render the video content on screen.

and also go to the shop and make comparison and see it for yourself.
Same panel. TCL CSOT supply LED panels to the rest of them after LG and Samsung pulled out of the game. What makes the other brands superior are their hardware.
I have a C855 from last year and how beautiful is this screen.
TCL is my recommendation to easy going folks in the inflated market of big brands with no real better quality.

Previous generations made excellent monitors for casual gaming in a small bedroom converted mancave.Its a fantastic TV, after being with samsung for 15 years i switched most tvs in the new house to tcl.
Got the 85” c7k for living area for $3k delivered, very happy. Also have a 75 and 98 versions. Great screens. Just need more 4k content.
My tcl 65x4us died yesterday. Tempted but how do these handle upscaling hd sources, something my old TCL was subpar at. Id also hope the long bootup time has improved?
Got the 75" for $1800.25 delivered with the code which I'm happy with after missing Costco yesterday. Also they're willing to hold it in warehouse for a while as we are leaving for holiday soon!

So, is it like : you just bought thr gift card and pay with it or you had to click via some link as well to make sure that you get cashback?
GGs sent me an online invoice and I paid it using the gift card I purchased from Cashrewards. The 3% cashback is from buying the gift card itself so it will end up credited into the cashrewards account after certain number of days regardless when the gift card is used. I hope that makes sense.

I tried JB today and yesterday, both attempts refused… initially for being a 'price error', this time because it's backordered.
But I got TGG to price match with no hassle, a bit ironic when TGG is actually owned by JB Hi-Fi haha…
