Thx, Can you suggest who I can port out to at zero or low cost in order to port back?
Amaysim
“ New customers only or Porting your number from other Network to Telstra”
$299 at Costco with a bonus $35 shop card.
My Boost annual sim plan is about to run out of time and data good timing thanks OP
You missed this deal:
The cashback offer has expired. This deal with Telstra does have bonus data.
I still got till late Oct with this Sim but im down to my last 10 gb which will be gone well before the 6th of Oct
i will be honest i prefer Telstra over Boost i have been annually switching btw the two for a few years now and i feel like boost isnt as good as telstra even though it is essentially the same network but maybe im just imagining things - that isnt saying boost is 'bad' but it just feel this is slightly better
Does feel like Telstra caps the max speed on Boost (coverage seems to be the same). However, the Telstra prepaid plan a family member is on does appear to be have a speed cap as well.
You do get Telstra Plus points with Telstra Prepaid. Years ago, you used to get Telstra Plus points for Boost transactions, but Telstra closed that loophole a few years ago.
@netsurfer: They both have the same 150mbps speed cap.
I have had both in my phone at the same time for a period, and they're identical, at least in my areas.
Is this going to give me the same coverage as Boost?
Yes they should be the same. Boost (now owned by Telstra) uses the Telstra retail network. Coverage should be same, there may be speed cap differences.
(We have Telstra retail, Telstra Corp + Boost in the fam. All have same coverage when we are regional and experience the same blackspots (urban and regional). Also in the fam there is retail Optus and an Amaysim & TPG/Voda so we get to see some real differences of where T have a urban blackspots vs Optus often has coverage).
Can this be used in an iPad or any other tablets?
Can I port from Boost?
Yes, but that type of porting (Boost <-> Telstra) is slightly different and Telstra tends to do that type of porting (which is more like a plan change) once a day (last time I did it, it was done just before 5PM).
Those with Smart watches, note that telstra does not allow sim sharing on prepaid plans.
If you are already with Telstra can you get this deal?
