Been waiting a while for this to go on sale as my trusty all Black diamond is starting to give up. This is ATL according to the camels.

Going by reviews this is a good torch, bright enough for most needs, lightweight, long running, and I really like the red light option as to not blind myself when camping.

    Must resist…

I have one, and it's excellent. Nicely spread beam. Quite bright enough on the mid setting to use as a head torch for most purposes. Not heavy enough to be uncomfortable

  • Can anyone find the running times for the various settings?

  • What's ATL guys!? Is it too hard to write the whole word? 😅

        Thanks mate!

      • I got your picture, dear Maria!~

  • What battery? I saw 1 AA batteries on amazon.

    • +1

      Single 18650 battery.

    • I can confirm that a 18650 3000 mAh is included

  • I have problem with the batteries and recharging. Found that on colder climate, and low temperatures especially 4-7degrees, the battery doesn’t charge well and last long.
    Hence use the traditional batteries.

I don't have the H35R but have been very pleased with the HS21. Worth considering for a bit more money.

You could try this one Sofirn Rechargeable Red Headlamp, D25LR. I know nothing about headlamps though it just popped up when i got the same error message as you for the other deal.

Good price with free delivery. Same price at AliEx, cheaper if you don't have Prime/free Az delivery. Have had it sitting in my Ali cart for a few days. Sub $A30 is dirt cheap for a decent light.

Probably quite a few differences (output etc) but the D25LR has better LEDs (high CRI) for the white lights - Samsung LH351D.

There are quite a few headlamp video reviews around for anyone who's interested.

What would you recommend? this or D25LR H25LR if both are available.

          • +1

@OzHan: Exactly same product, so buy the cheapest. Iirc D was Sofirn's European designation.
Woops misread you comment. I prefer the high CRI (ie better colour rendition) from the Samsung LED on the D25LR but the OP's item should give more lumens and better throw if that's what you want. Personally I would carry a torch for long throw and have a headlamp for handsfree situations (camping, cooking, fishing etc).

  • How is it OOS already?!

  • what is the next alternative since it is OOS?

    • I’ve just bought a simple rechargeable headlamp from Aldo yesterday. Cost is about $13

    • If you really want that model it's ~$A33 delivered at sofirnlight.com.
      https://www.sofirnlight.com/products/sofirn-h35r-led-recharg…
Will be posted from Sofirn China, takes about 7-10 days.

OR, buy the H25LR (D25LR) for about $A26 from AliExpress or Amazon

      • My Norton block that website link: blacklist…

        • So does my AV. It's safe and legit ime, have bought from them many times over a 4 year period.

Your choice, but right click on your AV icon and pause it for a few minutes if you want to view or use sofirnlight dot com. Windows Security should still protect you if you're worried.

I see is OOS but FWIW, got this at same price couple of months back. Good headtorch. Nice and bright, floody but still with a decent spot, nice natural colour temp.
Uncomplicated modes, press on for white, hold on for red, then hold down to change brightness in that mode (stepped, 5 levels) No strobe or SOS.
Red goes brighter than I ever need (I don't usually use higher than level 2)
Remembers the brightness level for both white and red separately.

  • i got email before this model was released and i bought it via their main website. it was 9.99$ USD each and i paid like 30$ total for 3 so about 45$AUD with shipping, it was unreal deal.

it is very easy to use and i love it. well designed USB port, i dont have use for the red light yet, but after my wuben E7 died (for no reason just stop working), this one is just simple and works.

but with all that said, i wont pay more than 25$ for each unit, simply it is not feature rich, and doesnt build like a tank.
