avoid mwave until they sort themselves out during the buyout & administration process

    • good point i updated post

    • Weird they are moving to a bigger place during the process

      • +2

bigger is just size, not more expensive. Maybe the new one is a digidirect warehouse, and they don't have to pay extra.

    • +3

      Yes, I’d avoid.

I wasn’t aware of the mwave issues, always had good fast service from them.

Ordered a few items over a week ago, order still stuck in processing. Quick Google shows since the digidirect takeover I’m not the only one waiting on orders, I only found out after ordering and checking recent reviews.

      • +3

Mwave was always great on service and speed.. No idea how they miss-managed it so badly

  • +1

Actually good deal. Just careful with fulfillment

  • +6

Thanks, bought 1. I plan to buy a 9070xt or 5070 ti, but for this price, I may use it for a couple of years and upgrade a few years later

  • +5

I pulled the trigger let's see if I actually get it!

  • +7

    Note:

Mwave are moving their showroom and warehouse so there will be delays this week looks like pick up and deliveries resume Tuesday 19/08/2025

    • +2

Maybe they want to clear some stock before the move. So it will likely be shipped soon

  • Perfect timing, picked up one using Paypal for protection.

  • +3

Got excited but then saw only about 6-8% improvement from my 3070

    • oh…

    • +1

      3070 or 3070ti? more than 10% increase from 3070

    • +1

Extra v-ram makes a difference. And you can have that >10% upgrade for bugger all after you sell your 3070 for $400 on marketplace.

      • -6

        Extra v-ram makes a difference

Extra VRAM only makes a difference if it makes a difference.

It actually does in a few games now, they can actually max out 8GB VRAM and slow down on 4k with max settings.

But you're not going to run into any of that on a 5060 ti card, are you?

        • +1

But you're not going to run into any of that on a 5060 ti card, are you?

Just not true at all. Here's some of the extensive coverage HardwareUnboxed has done. Almost every game shown can use over 8gb of vram at 1080p.

        • Maybe you haven't played many of the recent titles. 16GB is just enough for 4K max settings, and you even need aggressive upscaling in some games to keep VRAM usage down, which is one of the main criticisms of the RTX 5080, a 2000 AUD card that struggles at 4K gaming the moment it's introduced. I had a 10GB card playing at 1440p and had to turn textures all the way down in quite a few games.

Higher VRAM would also allow you to play some of the older games with high-res texture packs, which could dramatically improve the experience.

      • Agreed, plus that old GPU will eventually die. If they can sell it for a small loss even on marketplace it could be a decent investment.

  • +5

yeah i got excited but ill stick with my 3080 until im ready to spend a bit more on something that would make a bigger difference.

  • The 9060 XT is essentially as good, and can be grabbed for $570 which was what I was just about to buy.

But with PayPal protection…buying this likely pricing error feels worth it haha

    • I was deciding on that exact deal, but with identical performance for $100 less, this 5060ti deal is a no brainer

  • gotta try :) with Paypal of course :D

  • +7

Does this do the weird pci thing where the card only has 8 lanes or whatever so on pcie 3.0 it goes to x4?

    • +2

      Yes

      • +1

        Shithouse

        • +1

Wait sorry I'm new to this. What does that do?

          • @DigitalJeezus: Basically you could lose quite a bit of perfomance if you're on older mainboards that only support PCIe 3.0 (eg. B450/x470)

            • @Kingduytan: Thanks. This shouldn't be an issue with newer mobos right?

              • +3

@DigitalJeezus: Yeah, PCIe 3 is ancient at this point. Anyway, this is a 16GB card, so it's much less of a problem, i.e., it's fine as long as VRAM usage isn't close to the limit (at which point the GPU starts swapping data to keep VRAM within budget; this swapping process is heavily bottlenecked by the PCIe bandwidth).

            • @Kingduytan: for a 5060ti you won't lost much on the pice 3.0 x16. it is not a 5090 which need a maximum speed.

              • @RichardF89: Yeah, in my original comment, I thought this was the 8GB version which, when paired with PCIe 3.0 x 8 (their main limitation is the 8-lane), can run into problems in VRAM-heavy games.

A 5060 Ti with 16GB at this price is insane!

          • +1

@DigitalJeezus: Means it's better if your mobo has PCI-Express 4 as a minimum.

  • Bought one via PayPal, likely pricing error, and expecting order cancellation, but worth a try.

    • +1

Same here, lets see…Thanks OP anyway.

  • +2

Every other 4060 and 5060 series card is listed for more on their site, this has to be an entry error.

$599 would be a stellar price in the current market, this is just too good to be true.

    • This OP is the same dude who posted an RTX 4090 for $2.7k deal ~$2.5k with credit cashback

      • +2

        it's marshmallow!

  • +2

I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t see that bs transit cover fee.

    • +4

      Hand in your OzB license

    • +2

That shit is criminal, its their property and liability until its in your hands. Even auspost and couriers won’t talk to the receiver if you try to make a claim, the contract is between them and the sender. Bastardos!

  • +1

Awesome price. Any deals on 5070 ti?

    • I checked on Mwave, didn't see any bargain for 5070ti and 9070xt

    • -1

If you wait 5 years, i heard from a guy in the future they will be about treeeee fiddy!

  • Ordered - was a good Monday after all!

  • Got one. Paid with PayPal

  • +1

Don’t get your hopes up, digidirect (the new mwave) is not a stranger to cancelling below cost price errors

  • I can't seem to add to cart :( anyone else?

  • Can't add to cart

  • Got removed from my cart, and cant add to cart anymore..

  • +2

Prepare for cancellation emails while they hold onto your cash

  • Too late to the party now I guess

    • For less than 10 minutes

  • +2

Deal of the month if not cancelled

  • I paid via bank transfer. Did I make a mistake?

    • +2

      Yes.

Always use a credit card for online ordering - when things go wrong, it's the bank's money that goes missing, instead of your money.

  • +5

Webpage updated to show "This Product is currently unavailable." GGS to the lads that snagged it on time, thanks for the deal OP.

Now we pray and wait they don't cancel

    • +1

      I'll skip the praying part.

  • Purchased one, lets see if gods will love us today

  • +1

Damn my order got cancelled. Obviously a pricing error.

    • What time did you order…?

      • At 6pm

        • Did you happen to get the "Your order has been verified" email prior to cancellation?

          • @DigitalJeezus: Never received an email, just logged into my account and saw that the order was cancelled. Might be worth checking…

            • @viperacr: Mine just got cancelled and I got the "Your order has been verified" email

  • Looks like this price was supposed to be for a rtx 5050 8gb that sells for spot on $470

  • Yeah a 44% discount from MSRP would be a unicorn. The best discount we've had this generation (that I can recall) was a 5070 at $849 (23% from MSRP) which has been the most discounted Blackwell SKU so far (the other cards are usually no more than a 10% discount)

    • I can see 5070s being $799 soon enough.

  • I got the email that say We have verified your Order SOxxxxxx and started processing it.

Not sure if this is good or bad, but still waiting on cancellation.

  • +1

    I could've ordered but didn't because I got the 5070 already XD

    • Proof or GTFO

        • What the hell, why the negative votes? Jealous?

          • @kml22: I wouldn't flexed until I see the shipping confirmation…

            • @cloudie9: I'm not expecting anything, I'm waiting for that cancellation email, as stated in my previous message.

            • @cloudie9: I wouldn't flex till it's fully delivered and in your hands.

Companies can still retrieve sent items.

            • @cloudie9: Yup, I got the cancellation email We have created a new Ticket "Order Cancellation - Pricing Error"

    • +4

      Weird flex

      • Not so much of a flex but sadness because I might've had it for cheaper. I'm always lamenting on being too late

    • +1

      I could've ordered but didn't because I got 4060 already XD

but that wasn't the reason, just kidding. I felt that this is some sort of mix up and they are small enough to notice

      ozbargain instincts saw me safely

  • +5

Nice. I hope it gets fulfilled for some of you at least.

  • Noticed this:

    SKU# AC87142, Model# GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16G VENTUS 2X OC PLUS $848.95

Very similar, but Sku# is different from sale card: SKU# AC84777 vs SKU# AC87142

  • +2

Mwave is undercutting alot of high volume item prices, looks very fishy.

  • +2

Received the order cancellation message on their website:
    https://i.imgur.com/K5SPTwe.png

    • Yes, got the cancellation email, oh well, that was too good to be true, worth a try though. They did applied $20 credit to my account.

  • Not cancelled yet here

    • Log into your Mwave account and check. I didn't get an email but my order got cancelled.

      • +2

        $20 credit?

        • Yes, I can confirm that $20 credit appeared in my account. Still no email about cancellation or credit though.

      • Logged and it is "paid" I can't see it cancelled

  • +2
