Any Other Stores Like Appliances Online That Take Away Your Old Washing Machine and Connect Your New One?

Wondering if there are any other stores like appliances online that take your old washing machine to recycle for you and connect your new one.

Also they do free delivery.

Wasn't sure if there were any other stores that did that mainly the take old machine away and free installation for you.

Connecting a washing machine is such a specialized skill..maybe they have the market cornered 🤔

Getting a large washing machine in and out of an apartment complex is definitely a skill, genuinely felt bad for the guys who delivered and installed ours.

  • you know how easy it is?

    • dumping your old washing machine on the nature strip of that neighbour you dislike?

Might not physically be able to move a washing machine or be able to get under it and balance it.

Also if you don't have a car/aren't strong enough, you probably just can't get rid of the old one.

  • try The Good Guy.

    • Great experience using these guys for new washing machine a year or so ago, good price, and took away the old

It would be written on the retailers website blurb as an incentive to buy from them.

Check them all, and while you are checking for models and a good OzBargain read the services offered at the same time.

  • Winnings is owned by the same company as Appliances Online and uses the same delivery logistics. They are sometimes cheaper so definitely worth looking at.

The Good Guys and Bing Lee will also collect the old appliance but have a delivery fee.

Get rid of old one: Council collection or post an ad on gumtree & marketplace for "scrap metal - old washing machine - FREE".

Connecting the new one is really as simple as (1) pointing the drain pipe down the drain hole (look where the current one goes if you're not sure) (2) screwing the water inlet pipes onto the taps and turning them on again (again check where the current ones go if you're really not sure) and (3) plugging the power lead in.

    • Yes, I think the Blue one connects to Cold, and the Red one connects to Hot, but I could be mistaken……

    • (4) watch your new washing machine attempt to walk itself back to the store because you forgot to level it

      • You're right, but oops we also forgot another step even before step (1). Let's call it step (0).
