I would like to spend a night at the Langham Hotel but it is so expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a lower rate?? Also looking at going the the Aquarium if anyone has any discount tips for there too it would be appreciated.

I did that at the Q1 Gold coast and had it for less than $200. I paid $210, to get the $27 observation deck included, with then included $20 food & drink voucher.
i've stopped using webjet, wotif, etc as i find calling direct asking for the bottom price seems to work, while hotels are not as busy as they used to be.
Keep googling "Langham Hotel Flash Sale". They have those regularly, and they are not advertised except for secret pages on their website & the only way is through finding it through a search engine. You can get 20-30% off. eg. http://melbourne.langhamhotels.com.au/rooms_special_offers_l…
I also think booking directly with hotel is the way to go. You can always express disappointment in having missed a recent flash sale & ask them for that rate. They will probably say no but may offer some discount + throw in free valet parking & breakfast. Don't forget you can earn Qantas frequent flyer points too.
